They Throwin' Up Shivaji Statues Like He the New Tupac, But What It Really Mean?
All these statues of that old school king poppin' up in India—is it 'bout pride, or is somebody tryna play us?
Aight, so check it. Word on the street is they buildin' Shivaji statues all over India. This dude was a king back in the day, used to be scrappin' with the Mughals, which was like, the big dogs back then. They sayin' he a hero, fightin' for the people, and all that. But peep the real, what's really goin' on?
'Cause see, every time they start pushin' some 'national pride' BS, it usually means somebody gettin' played. They pumpin' up this dude Shivaji like he the Indian Tupac, but is it really 'bout honorin' history, or is it 'bout dividin' us up?
They sayin' he stood up to foreign oppressors, cool. But ain't nobody addressin' the oppression happenin' right here, right now? What 'bout the folks gettin' stepped on every day? This ain't no diss on Shivaji. My folks need to eat, not look at statue, feel me?
All this statue buildin' cost bread. That money could be goin' to schools, hospitals, and helpin' people get on they feet. But nah, they wanna build monuments to some dude from hundreds of years ago. Sounds suspect, right?
And I'm hearin' whispers that they usin' Shivaji to stir up beef between different groups. They tryin' to make it a 'us vs. them' thing, when we all just tryna survive out here. Don't fall for the okie doke.
We gotta be smart 'bout this. Acknowledge the history, but don't let it blind you to what's happenin' today. Don't let them use Shivaji to distract you from the real issues.
Real talk, these politicians ain't never cared 'bout us. They just wanna stay in power. So, they pumpin' up this national pride stuff to keep us distracted and fightin' each other. Don't let 'em win.
Keep your eyes open, stay woke, and don't let nobody play you. Shivaji mighta been a real one, but these politicians ain't. They just usin' him to get over on us.
And while they buildin' statues, we still fightin' for scraps. Wake up, fam. Ain't nothin' changed.
