The Rich Folks Done Took Over the Harbor with Dem Fancy Boats
SailGP got them catamarans tearin' up the water, but who dis really benefit?

Aight, so check it. They got these high-speed sailboats, right? Callin' it SailGP, like Formula 1 on the water. They done rolled up in New York Harbor, messin' with the regular folks just tryna get they work done. These ain't no regular boats, nah. These are them fancy-schmancy catamarans, lookin' like they finna fly.
But real talk, who dis really for? They sayin' it's a competition, bringin' money to the city. But where dat money goin'? Bet it ain't comin' to the cribs in the projects, nah mean? It's stayin' uptown, benefitin' them already got the bread. Meanwhile, the ferries gettin' delayed, the fishermen can't get they catch, and everybody else just gotta deal with it.
They say it's innovation, technology. But we still stuck with the same broken-down trains and buses, ya feel me? They spendin' millions on these boats, but can't fix the damn potholes. Priorities messed up, straight up. And what 'bout the environment? All them extra boats, the fuel they burnin', that ain't helpin' nobody. They talkin' 'bout green energy, but still polluting the water with these races.
New York Harbor used to be 'bout hustlin', gettin' that bread, movin' goods. Now it's just a playground for the rich, showin' off they toys. Ain't nothin' changed, same game different players. They always findin' ways to take what we got and make it they own. Remember when they tried to take over the community garden? Same energy.
It's like, they come into our neighborhoods, put up these fancy buildings, raise the rents, and then act like they doin' us a favor. Nah, they just pushin' us out, makin' space for they own kind. This ain't nothin' new. It's the same story, different day. They don't care 'bout us, they only care 'bout they money.
So while they out there racin' them boats, livin' large, we gotta keep grindin', keep hustlin', keep lookin' out for each other. Cause ain't nobody else gonna do it for us. They ain't gonna give us nothin', we gotta take it. We gotta fight for our piece of the pie, make sure we ain't gettin' left behind.
They try to distract us with these shiny objects, make us think everything's cool. But we gotta stay woke, see through the BS. Ain't nothin' changed, the game is still rigged. But we ain't givin' up, we keep pushin', keep movin', keep fightin' for what's ours.
Keep it 100, ain't nothin' wrong with havin' nice things. But when it's at the expense of everybody else, that's where I gotta draw the line. We gotta make sure everybody eats, not just the folks on them fancy boats. Real talk.
This ain't 'bout hatin' on success, it's 'bout callin' out the system. It's 'bout makin' sure our voices get heard. It's 'bout buildin' a better future for our kids, where everybody got a fair shot, not just the ones born with a silver spoon. Keep your head up, stay strong, and keep fightin' the good fight. We gon' get there one day.
SailGP in the harbor a reminder that the rich do what they want, regardless of the impact on the community. The money they bringing in ain't for us.
The catamarans in the Harbor show the inequalities of the system. We need to focus on building a better future for our community, not just for the rich folks.
