Cairo Just Got a Monorail, But Is It For Us?
They done dropped a new monorail in Cairo, but the real question is: who's gonna benefit, and who's gonna get left behind?

Aight, so Cairo got a monorail. Word on the street is, it's supposed to be all modern and slick, fixin' traffic and all that. But hold up, before we get too hyped, let's keep it 100: is this thing really for the people, or just another way to gentrify the city and push us out?
We seen this before, fam. They build somethin' new, promise it's gonna help everybody, but then the prices go up, the rent goes up, and the people who been holdin' it down end up gettin' displaced. Is that what's about to happen here?
They sayin' it's gonna ease congestion, but who's really sittin' in that traffic? It ain't the folks livin' in the nice neighborhoods. It's us, the ones workin' hard just to make ends meet, stuck in the gridlock tryin' to get to and from our jobs.
And how much is this thing gonna cost? Are they gonna raise fares on the buses and metros to pay for it? Are they gonna cut funding for schools and hospitals so they can keep this monorail runnin'? We gotta ask these questions, y'all.
'Cause at the end of the day, it ain't about the fancy new trains or the shiny new stations. It's about whether this city is workin' for us, the regular people who built it. It's about whether we can afford to live here, whether we can get to work, whether our kids can get a good education.
So yeah, Cairo got a monorail. But unless it's helpin' the people who need it most, it's just another slap in the face. We gotta stay woke, keep our eyes open, and make sure we ain't gettin' played. This ain't no time to be sleepin' on the job.
We gotta hold these folks accountable. Make sure they investin' in our communities, creatin' jobs, and makin' this city a better place for all of us, not just the rich and connected.
