The Man Tryna Control the Sky: States Want Drone-Snatching Powers Over Prisons
States be hollerin' at the feds for the juice to shut down drones droppin' everything from phones to shanks in the clink, but what's really good?

Aight, so these state AGs, led by some cat from Georgia named Chris Carr, out here trippin', tryna get Trump and them to give 'em the power to shoot down drones near prisons. They claimin' these drones be droppin' off drugs, weapons, and burner phones like it's Amazon Prime for convicts.
Carr sayin' Georgia had like 500 drone incidents last year, which led to confiscatin' over a thousand phones. Word? But peep the bigger picture: why folks inside need all that in the first place? Straight up, if you treatin' folks like animals, they gonna act like it. No cap.
Now, the government already got their hands all over the airspace, controllin' everything. But these states want even MORE power? That's suspect, fam. Sounds like an excuse to surveil the whole damn neighborhood around the prison. Who knows what else they gonna be watchin'?
Trump's task force supposedly lookin' at drone threats, but this feels like a distraction. They focusin' on the drones, not the messed-up conditions inside that make folks desperate enough to risk it all for a damn cellphone or a hit of something to numb the pain.
They talkin' 'bout giving states the go-ahead to jam the signals, shoot 'em down, whatever. But what about investin' in real solutions? Like, better programs, mental health care, and treatin' inmates like human beings instead of caged animals? That ain't never the answer for them.
The feds already givin' the states some leeway in the National Defense Authorization Act, lettin' them mess with drones near prisons and critical infrastructure. But it ain't enough for these cats. They want full control, no questions asked. Sounds like a power grab to me, G.
Carr claimin' there's too much confusion about what states can and can't do. But I see it clear as day: they wanna flex, and they don't care who gets caught in the crossfire. These prisons are already hellholes. More surveillance and crackdowns ain't gonna fix nothin'.
Real talk, this drone stuff just a symptom of a bigger problem. Until they address the root causes of why folks end up inside, and how they treated once they there, the contraband gonna keep comin', one way or another. It's all connected. Treatin' folks like humans is the first step, not snitching on them cause they tryna survive behind the wall.
So, yeah, states want drone-snatchin' powers. But that ain't the answer, fam. It's just another way to keep folks down and distract from the real issues. Keep it 100, ya dig?
Focus on the bigger problem. Prison reform and community empowerment! That's the real move.
They tryna put a band-aid on a bullet wound, man. It's deeper than that.
Stay woke, y'all.
