That Man Pollan Done Gone Down the Rabbit Hole: Consciousness and Other White People Problems
Writer spends years trippin' on thinkin' 'bout thinkin', while the rest of us dealin' with real life.
Aight, so check it. This dude Michael Pollan, right? He a writer or somethin'. Spent FIVE YEARS tryna figure out 'consciousness.' Five years! Man, I coulda paid off my student loans with that kinda time. Or, you know, just chill. But nah, he gotta go all deep thinkin' 'bout what it means to be alive. Sounds like some white people problems to me.
See, we out here hustlin', tryna make ends meet, dealin' with the system breathing down our necks. Consciousness ain't the first thing on our minds. It's 'How I'm gonna keep the lights on?' or 'How I'm gonna make sure my kids straight?' That's real consciousness, know what I'm sayin'?
This dude probly got a trust fund or somethin', sittin' around ponderin' the meaning of life. Meanwhile, folks in the hood ain't got time for existential crises. We too busy tryin' to survive. This cat don't know nothin' 'bout strugglin'. He ain't gotta worry 'bout cops harassin' him or landlords trippin'. He livin' in a whole different world.
Historically, this kinda deep thinkin' never done nothin' for us. They talkin' 'bout philosophy and whatnot, while we gettin' left behind. The system ain't built for us to be sittin' around thinkin' 'bout consciousness. It's built for us to be workin' and payin' taxes. That's the real deal.
He probably got his head stuck in some book, thinkin' he gonna unlock the secrets of the universe. But the real answers ain't in no book. They in the streets. They in the struggle. They in the everyday lives of regular people.
Man's probably gonna come out with some theory that benefits nobody but himself. He gonna get rich off this 'consciousness' thing, while we still stuck here dealin' with the same old problems. That's how it always goes. They get the knowledge, we get the struggle.
He's probably trying to get woke, but he started from the wrong place. Real wokeness comes from experience, from seein' the world for what it is. It ain't somethin' you can learn in a book or discover by thinking about yourself for five years.
So, next time you hear about some rich dude ponderin' the meaning of life, just remember: they ain't speakin' for us. We got our own consciousness, and it's based on real life, not some abstract theory. Keep it real, y'all. Don't let these cats gas you up.
Keep ya head up, and stay conscious of the real struggle. Peace.
