That ACLU Lawyer? Yeah, She Born Here, Fam
Cecillia Wang fightin' for immigrant rights, but she got that birthright citizen card, know what I'm sayin'?
Aight, so peep this: Cecillia Wang, that lawyer over at the ACLU? Turns out she a whole citizen. Like, born in the U.S. of A. type citizen. She been out here grindin', fightin' for immigrants' rights, and whatnot. But at the end of the day, she got that birthright, ya dig?
Now, the Constitution, that thing they barely teach in school no more, got this thing called the Fourteenth Amendment. It basically say if you born here, you a citizen. Period. No if, ands, or buts. But folks always tryna find a loophole, especially when it come to folks from other countries.
The ACLU, they been on the front lines, keepin' it real, fightin' for people gettin' deported, tryna get asylum, all that. They been throwin' hands with the system for years, tryin' to make sure folks get a fair shake. But the system, it ain't built for us, know what I'm sayin'?
Wang out here workin' cases, tryin' to keep families together, makin' sure folks don't get railroaded by ICE and all them other cats. She dealin' with some heavy stuff, man. Immigration court ain't no joke. It's designed to break you down.
But let's be real, the whole immigration game is rigged. They change the rules whenever they feel like it. One minute you good, the next minute they tryna send you back to where you came from. It's all about power and control.
Some folks be talkin' 'bout the Fourteenth Amendment, sayin' it ain't supposed to cover everybody. They say it's only for folks whose parents is legit, or whatever. But that ain't what the paper say. They just tryna justify keepin' folks out, keepin' the borders tight.
The courts, they go back and forth on this stuff. Sometimes they side with the people, sometimes they side with the government. It all depend on who the judge is and what kinda mood they in, for real.
And the economics? Don't even get me started. They say immigrants takin' our jobs. But who buildin' these houses? Who pickin' these crops? Who cleanin' these offices? It ain't us. They doin' the work nobody else wanna do, and they gettin' paid peanuts for it.
Wang is just one lawyer, but she represent a whole lotta people. She represent hope for folks who feel like they got nowhere else to turn. She showin' them that somebody care, somebody fightin' for them.
The political climate right now is straight up toxic. They buildin' walls, they passin' laws, they makin' it harder and harder for folks to come here and make a life. It's a mess, man.
Wang's position, as a born citizen fightin' for immigrant rights, kinda ironic, but it also show how messed up the whole system is. Even folks who got all the privileges still gotta fight for justice.
At the end of the day, it's all about respect. Treatin' people like human beings, no matter where they from. That's what Wang is tryin' to do. Keep it 100, no cap.
