Texas GOP Playin' Chicken, Betta Hope That Bet Pays Off
Dem Boyz in the Statehouse thinkin' Texas stayin' red no matter what, but the streets ain't so sure.
Aight, so check it. Texas Republicans done gone and made a bet, straight up. They thinkin' Texas so red, they can run anybody – I'm talkin' anybody – and still win. Even if they all the way on that right-wing tip. That's the plan, anyway. But on the block, we seein' somethin' different.
For years, Texas been rockin' with the GOP. They run the whole show, from the Governor's mansion down to the local school board. But times changin', man. The hood gettin' bigger, and more folks movin' in. And a lotta them folks ain't feelin' what the Republicans sellin'.
The Republicans thinkin' they can just keep doin' the same ol' thang, cuttin' taxes for the rich, and po-po's harassin the poor folks. They ain't really listenin' to what people need. They be cappin' bout fixin' the roads, but really it just the rich side gettin' fixed.
Now, they gotta get folks to come out and vote for 'em. They gotta make sure the old folks stay in line, and hope that the young folk ain't payin' attention. That is just some clown sh*t. But the game done changed though.
The Dems been organizing, and they gettin' smarter. They talkin' bout jobs, healthcare, and makin' sure everybody gets a fair shake. That message resontatin' around the hood, and not just here in texas.
November's comin', and that's when we gonna see if the GOP gamble pays off. If they win, it means they can keep runnin' the show like they always have. But if they lose, it's gonna send a message that Texas ain't just a one-party state no more. It mean more change needs to come, regardless. The streets will tell you that.
Basically, Texas GOP tryna get over. But the comeuppance is on the way. Better stack that bread!
