Supreme Court Trippin' Again: Mississippi Death Penalty Case Shows System Still Rigged
Same ol' song and dance: Black folks on trial, jury lookin' suspect, justice nowhere to be found.

Aight, check it. The Supreme Court back at it again, dealin' with some Mississippi BS. This time it's Terry Pitchford, on death row since '06. The issue? This cat Doug Evans, the prosecutor, straight up weeded out all the Black folks on the jury. Only ONE Black juror made the cut. That ain't no accident, that's a setup.
This ain't new. Same dude, Doug Evans, pulled the same kinda stunt in the Curtis Flowers case. Supreme Court already had to check him on that one, said he was on a 'relentless, determined effort to rid the jury of Black individuals.' So why this dude still prosecutin' cases, man?
Pitchford was 18 when this robbery went down. Some other youngblood, under 18, pulled the trigger. But Pitchford still catchin' a death sentence? Somethin' ain't right. Is that justice, or just another way to fry a Black man?
The system ain't built for us, fam. From the cops on the street to the judges in the courtroom, it's all designed to keep us down. They talk about 'equal justice under law,' but that's a straight-up lie. Justice is colorblind? Please.
This ain't just about Pitchford. This about all of us. Every time the system gets away with this kinda stuff, it sends a message: Black lives don't matter. They think they can do whatever they want to us, and nobody gonna stop 'em.
They try to tell us to trust the process, but how we supposed to trust a process that's been rigged against us from day one? They talk about 'innocent until proven guilty,' but when you Black, you guilty 'til proven rich.
We gotta fight back. We gotta organize, mobilize, and demand justice. We gotta make our voices heard, from the streets to the ballot box. We gotta show 'em we ain't gonna take this no more.
The Supreme Court might rule in Pitchford's favor, they might not. But one thing for sure: we gotta keep fightin' for our rights. We gotta keep holdin' these cats accountable. We gotta keep pushin' for a system that's fair for everybody, not just the rich and powerful. No cap.
We gotta show the youngbloods comin' up that we ain't gonna let this generation get played like we did. We gotta break the cycle of injustice and build a better future for our kids. On the real.
Real talk: this system is designed to break us. Keep your head up. Keep fightin'.
