Robert Woodson Gone: Old Head Spittin' Truth 'Bout Self-Reliance, RIP
This OG community activist said stop waitin' on the government and build yo' own damn table.

Word, Robert Woodson passed. Man was 89. For real, this cat was on some different ish. He wasn't wit' the handout mentality. He was all 'bout that self-reliance, know what I'm sayin'? He believed Black folks could get it poppin' without waitin' on Uncle Sam to drop some crumbs.
He was sayin' that affirmative action and all them government programs? That's just a trap. Keeps us dependent, keeps us down. He wanted us to own our own businesses, build up our families, and handle our own. He was preachin' independence, not dependence.
Now, some folks gonna say he was blind to the struggle, to the system holdin' us back. They gonna say he didn't get it. But he was comin' from a place of power, of sayin' we ain't victims. We got the skills, the hustle, the brains to make it happen. We just gotta stop waitin' for permission.
He was talkin' 'bout buildin' generational wealth, takin' control of our communities. He wasn't hatin' on help, but he was sayin' that ain't the main course. The main course is grindin', hustlin', and buildin' our own damn empire.
So, salute to Robert Woodson. He kept it 100. He wasn't afraid to speak his mind, even when it wasn't what folks wanted to hear. He was a real one, and his message still resonates today.
He knew the game was rigged, but he also knew we had the power to change the rules.
His legacy is a reminder that self-determination is the key to freedom.
He was about uplifting his people through economic independence and individual responsibility.
He wasn't saying it was easy, but it was possible.
This ain't 'bout playin' the victim. It's 'bout seizing yo' power and takin' what's yours.
