Private Weed Clinics Messin' Up Lives, Fam?
Dude died, and now they wanna act like these legal weed spots ain't preyin' on folks already strugglin'.

Aight, so check it: this cat named Oliver Robinson, 34 years young, offed himself back in November, right? Turns out he was gettin' medicinal weed from one of them bougie private clinics over in the UK. Now the coroner's sayin' that weed probably had somethin' to do with why he ain't here no more. Sayin' it was an “obstacle” to him gettin' the help he really needed for his head and his addiction. Real talk, that's messed up.
Oliver's brother, Alexander, is on one now, tryna get these clinics shut down for folks with mental issues. He callin' it “Oliver's Law.” Basically, he wants to ban these clinics from givin' weed to people who already got problems upstairs, make 'em talk to NHS doctors, and see patients face-to-face. Straight up, it's about time somebody stepped up.
They legalized medicinal weed back in '18 after some rich lady's kid with epilepsy got their weed seized at the airport. But now these private clinics are handin' out prescriptions like they candy, especially the unlicensed stuff. The government is only gonna look out for who benefits them. They never cared about the folks in the community.
Look at the numbers: NHS gave out like 5,000 prescriptions in 2023. But these private clinics? They gave out over 650,000 prescriptions for the weak stuff in 2024. That's double what they did the year before. Eighty thousand people out here gettin' their weed from these clinics. No wonder folks be losin' it.
A psychiatrist, Dr. Pavan Chahl, even said that weed ain't good for folks with depression. Can make it worse. So why they givin' it to 'em in the first place? It’s all about the paper. These clinics don't care about your well-being, just that bag.
These private clinics are supposed to be watched over by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), but clearly, they ain't doin' they job right. Alexander's right, the game ain't strong enough. They need to lock down on these clinics and make sure they lookin' out for folks, not just tryna make a buck. Gotta protect those most vulnerable, straight up.
This whole situation is just another example of corporations taking advantage of folks who already got it hard. They legalize weed, but only the rich can get it easy. The rest of us just get left behind. It's time for some real change. Rest in power, Oliver.
