Politician Claimin' the System Buggin' on Inmate Calls? Bet.
Greens shawty Sue Higginson sayin' NSW corrections listenin' in on her phone calls with the homies locked up, and that ain't right.

Aight, check it. Word on the street is that Sue Higginson, the Greens justice spokesperson, is sayin' that Corrective Services NSW (CNSW) is illegally eavesdroppin' on her calls with inmates. Straight up, that's messed up.
See, these inmates hit her up 'bout other cats inside, or tryna get some healthcare they ain't gettin'. She's sayin' that the system knew too much about these conversations, like they had ears on the whole time. But according to the law, calls between parliamentarians and inmates supposed to be off limits, you feel me?
Sue thinks she mighta got put on the 'friends and family' list instead of the privileged list. But she sayin' it's on the department to make sure they follow the rules. She thinks they ain't payin' attention to who supposed to be exempt. That's some BS if you ask me.
CNSW sayin' they lookin' into it, claimin' they got procedures in place. But we know how that goes. Talk is cheap. The corrections minister, Anoulack Chanthivong, callin' it a 'very serious allegation' and sayin' it need to be fixed. But will it, tho?
Sue tellin' stories 'bout how one inmate got threatened for helpin' another get medical attention through her office. Another inmate complainin' 'bout a transfer also got threatened. How CNSW know all that if they wasn't listenin'? That's the question.
Meanwhile, the prisons packed, and Indigenous deaths in custody through the roof. The whole system is f*ed up, and this call-listenin' mess is just another symptom of the problem. They surveilling folks while they rotting in cages. No cap.
She tryin to say she could have been added to the wrong list but even then, it's the department's problem that they ain't doin' they job when it comes to making sure important conversations are kept private. The system ain't setup for black and brown folk to thrive, it's setup so they get caught up. Now with this new allegation, it shows they aint trying to help anyone, they are trying to hear everything.
They need to start treatin' people with respect, whether they locked up or not. Real talk.
