NYC's ACS Messin' Wit Black Families: Another Lawsuit Dropped on They Head!
Folks sayin' Child Services out here snatchin' kids outta Black and Brown homes for no good reason, and now they gotta pay up.

Aight, so check it. Word on the street is NYC's Administration for Children's Services (ACS) is catchin' heat again. This time, it's a lawsuit, a class-action one at that, sayin' they racially profilin' Black and Latino families, takin' they kids without even a court order. Straight up bogus, man.
They sayin' ACS be usin' this 'emergency removal' thing way too much, like it's a free pass to just walk in and snatch your kids. That emergency thing is supposed to be for when a kid in immediate danger, but nah, ACS be treatin' it like a grocery list, just checkin' boxes and tearin' families apart.
This dude David Shalleck-Klein from the Family Justice Law Center, he callin' it an 'unconstitutional policy of extrajudicial family separation.' Basically, he sayin' ACS think they above the law, makin' they own rules and messin' wit folks lives for no reason.
And the numbers don't lie. Some study from April 2026 (yeah, I know, sounds like some sci-fi stuff) sayin' 90% of the kids ACS snatchin' up in emergencies are Black and Latino. Three percent? That’s the number of white kids. You tell me that ain't sus. White folks get a pass while we gotta duck and dodge? Come on, man.
These professors from Cuny Law, Julia Hernandez and Tarek Ismail, they straight up sayin' ACS is terrorizin' Black and Latino families, just like the government been doin' for centuries. Real talk, it feel like they just findin' new ways to hold us down.
And last week, some court straight up told ACS they can't just take kids without seein' a judge first. Caseworkers can get personally sued if they break the rules. Like, damn, that’s gotta sting. But its about time.
This woman, Denise Archer (not her real name), she said she went to ACS for help when her family was down bad, and they turned it into a three-year nightmare, tryin' to take her kids away. She had to fight tooth and nail to get her babies back. That's some messed up stuff right there. You go to them for help, and they try to break you down? That ain't right.
ACS out here playin' games with people's lives, and it's always the same folks gettin' hurt: Black and Brown families who already strugglin'. They need to be held accountable for this BS, plain and simple. It’s time we start demanding respect, fam.
This ain't just about one lawsuit, it's about the whole damn system bein' rigged against us. They prey on our vulnerability and then act surprised when we push back. It's time we organize and fight for our rights, for our families, and for our future.
