NASA's Moon Base: Betta Spend That Money on the Hood, Frfr
While NASA's reachin' for the stars, folks in the community still struggle, and that ain't right.

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — Aight, so NASA wanna build a moon base. Landers, rovers, the whole shebang. They throwin' bread at Blue Origin and other companies. Meanwhile, folks struggle in the community, ya heard?
Artemis II done did its flyaround. Now they talkin' 'bout spaceships and moon buggies. But what about affordable housing? What about good schools? What about jobs that pay a livable wage? These are the questions we gotta ask. Ain't nobody on the block gonna benefit from no moon base, fam. Except maybe Bezos and them other rich folks gettin' richer.
They talkin' 'bout drones and markin' territory like this the Wild West on the moon. Callin' 'em MoonFall. Sounds like some dystopian movie. Instead of protectin' the block, they worried 'bout space. Priorities all outta whack.
NASA sayin' this is about a 'lunar economy' and gettin' ready for Mars. But how many Black and Brown folks gonna be up there? How many folks from the hood gonna get a piece of that pie? Don't hold your breath.
The timeline got 'em landin' folks on the moon by 2028. Real talk, I'll believe it when I see it. Government always takin' forever to do anything. Especially when it comes to helpin' the community.
This whole project costin' a grip. That money could be used to fix our schools, build community centers, and create opportunities for our youth. Instead, it's goin' to space. That ain't right.
Folks need to eat. They need jobs. They need healthcare. Buildin' a moon base ain't gonna solve none of that. They gotta invest in the people, not just in spaceships. This is real life, not a sci-fi movie. Where's the support for small businesses in the hood?
Them territory markin' drones ain't gonna keep nobody safe from police brutality, or gentrification. How about investin' in community-led programs that actually uplift and empower people? Less space, more love.
So while NASA dreamin' big, remember the folks on the ground. Remember the struggles people facin' every day. Remember that true progress means liftin' everybody up, not just launchin' rockets. Keep it 100.
We need real change, not just pie-in-the-sky promises. And until then, this moon base talk just sounds like another way for the rich to get richer while the rest of us get left behind. No cap.
