Mira Nair Said She Done Gave Her Son to the World – What Dat Mean?
Filmmaker talkin' 'bout her son bein' outchea doin' whatever, while she makin' movies 'bout some artist.

Aight, so check it. Mira Nair, the director, done said she feel like she "given him to the world," talkin' 'bout her son, Zohran Mamdani. What dat even mean? Sounds like some privileged mess to me. Like, you gave him? He ain't got no choice in the matter?
She makin' a movie 'bout some Indian artist, right? Cool, cool. But what 'bout the folks out here hustlin' everyday? Where the movies 'bout us? We ain't got no stories to tell?
This "giving him to the world" sound like she tryna justify somethin'. Maybe he out here doin' some bougie activist stuff, actin' like he savin' the world, when really he just disconnected from the real struggle. You know, the struggle of payin' rent, feedin' yo' kids, and tryin' not to get profiled by the police.
I bet this artist she makin' the movie 'bout ain't never struggled a day in they life. Prolly got rich parents, went to some fancy art school, and now paintin' pictures of struggle they ain't never seen. It's always like that, ain't it?
They always try to tell us 'bout ourselves, but they don't really know us. They just see the stereotypes, the poverty, the violence. They don't see the strength, the resilience, the love we got for each other. They ain't never been to the cookout.
And this whole "giving him to the world" thing? Sounds like she ain't really connectin' with her son. Maybe she too busy makin' movies to see what he really need. It's hard out here for everybody, even the rich kids. But they got a whole different set of problems, know what I'm sayin'?
I'm not hatin' on Mira Nair. She makin' her money, doin' her thing. But I'm just sayin', don't be out here actin' like you "giving" nobody to the world. People gotta make they own choices. And don't forget 'bout the real folks out here, the ones who ain't got no fancy movies made 'bout 'em.
Real talk, we need more movies 'bout the everyday struggle. Movies 'bout Black love, Black joy, Black resilience. Movies 'bout us, by us, for us. That's what I wanna see. Not some artist paintin' pictures of poverty from a mansion.
She need to make a movie about the hood. About the real heroes. The moms working two jobs, the pops grinding to make ends meet, the kids overcoming obstacles. Dat's the movie we need. No cap.
She should come through the hood, real talk. See what’s going on. It's deeper than just making movies for them awards, you feel me?
We just gotta keep grindin', keep hustlin', keep supportin' each other. We gon' make it through, no matter what. But it would be nice if somebody told our story right for once. For real, no cap.
Bottom line: her son gotta walk his own path, and we gotta tell our own stories. Ain't nobody gonna do it for us.
