Military Finally Givin' Our Soldiers They Straps On Base
After way too many shootings wit' personal heat, they lettin' folks protect theyselves. Bout damn time, fr fr.
Aight, so check it: the military, after years of playin' games, is finally lettin' soldiers carry they own firearms on base. Word is, too many shootings been happenin' wit' guns folks brought on they own, so now they tryna let everybody be strapped. This ain't no cap, but it's still kinda sus.
For real tho, how many times we gotta see some BS happen before they realize folks need to protect theyselves? They got us out here fightin' wars, but can't even trust us wit' a Glock on base? That's some backwards mess right there.
They be talkin' 'bout "safety" and "regulations," but what about the safety of the soldiers when some psycho decides to go off? You gonna tell 'em to call the MP and wait? Nah, fam, they gotta be able to handle business right then and there.
But here's the real tea: This ain't gon' solve everything. This just a band-aid on a bigger problem. They need to be investin' in mental health services, makin' sure folks ain't stressed and traumatized, and gettin' rid of all that toxic leadership mess. 'Cause a gun ain't gonna fix a broken mind.
And let's keep it 100, this probably gonna hit Black and brown soldiers different. We already gotta deal wit' enough racism and profiling in this country, now we gotta worry about gettin' extra attention just for carryin' a legal firearm? They better not be playin' no games.
Plus, they gonna be watchin' us even closer now, seein' if we step outta line. Gotta stay ten toes down and know your rights, 'cause they always lookin' for a reason to mess wit' us.
This ain't no victory lap, this just the bare minimum. We need real change, not just a quick fix that might cause more problems down the road. They gotta make sure everybody gettin' the same treatment, no matter they race or background. Equity, period.
So, soldiers, stay safe out there. Get your training, know the rules, and watch your back. 'Cause at the end of the day, you the only one you can truly rely on. Keep it real, keep it strapped, and keep it 100.
Real talk, though, this still feel like a setup. We gon' see how this play out. Stay woke.
No cap.
Protect Black lives.
Stay dangerous.
