Louisiana Gettin' Remapped After Supreme Court Said Nah to That Mess
The Supremes checked Louisiana on that racial gerrymandering, now they gotta draw a new map. But is it gonna be real this time?
Aight, so Louisiana just got told by the Supreme Court that their old congressional map was straight bogus. Apparently, you can't just draw lines to keep the Black vote down. But real talk, ain't nothin' changed. They just gotta find a new way to do the same old thing.
That whole gerrymandering thing is some serious BS. They draw these lines to make sure certain folks stay in power and other folks stay voiceless. And who gets hurt the most? The same people who always get hurt: Black folks and other minorities.
This ain't just about some map. This is about power. Who gets to make the laws? Who gets to decide where the money goes? Who gets to have a say in what happens in our communities? And for way too long, the answer has been: not us.
Now they got this new map comin'. They sayin' it's gonna be fair and equal. But we heard that before. We gotta stay woke and watch what they do. 'Cause you know they gonna try to pull some sneaky stuff.
We gotta get out there and vote. Make our voices heard. Show them we ain't gonna be silenced. We ain't gonna let them keep us down. This is our community, and we deserve to have a say in what happens here.
Don't let these politicians play you. They're all about themselves and their own pockets. They don't care about us. That's why we gotta look out for each other and fight for what's right.
This ain't just about politics, this about life. It's about our kids, our families, our future. We gotta stand up and demand respect. We gotta demand a seat at the table. We gotta demand that our voices be heard.
So, let's see what this new map looks like. But don't hold your breath. We gotta stay vigilant and keep fighting for justice, 'cause nobody else is gonna do it for us. Keep it 100.
