Louis CK Back on Netflix? Nah, They Just Showing Their True Colors
Comedian gets Hollywood Bowl gig after all that #MeToo stuff? They ain't really care 'bout us.

Aight, so check it. This Louis CK dude, right? After all that stuff with the women back in '17, showing his whoopty-whoop to folks who didn't ask for it, Netflix done gone and gave him a whole headlining spot at the Hollywood Bowl for their 'Netflix Is a Joke' fest. And they dropping his new special, 'Ridiculous,' too. What kinda message that sendin'?
This ain't nothin' new, tho. These corporations, they act like they care when the heat on, but when it comes down to the bag, they show you where they stand. They'll throw up a Black Lives Matter post when it's trending, but then turn around and sign a check to a dude who been accused of straight-up harassment.
Remember when he said, "when you have power over another person, asking them to look at your [dangly bits] isn’t a question. It’s a predicament for them. The power I had over these women is that they admired me. And I wielded that power irresponsibly." He knew he was wrong. So why is he getting a pass?
They cut ties back then, after the New York Times dropped that report and five women came forward. But that was just PR, fam. They waited for the noise to die down, and now they back to business as usual. It's all about the money, never about the respect.
And it's not just Netflix. He been tourin', sellin' out shows. Folks be quick to forget, especially when it ain't happenin' to them or theirs.
That documentary, 'Sorry/Not Sorry', tried to show how those women who spoke up got treated even worse afterwards. But folks ain't really tryna hear that. They wanna laugh, they wanna be entertained, and they don't wanna think about the real stuff.
Like that director, Caroline Suh, said: "The outrageousness of what he did is totally lost in the discussion." And that's the truth. Folks focusin' on if he 'canceled' or not, and not on the fact that he abused his power.
At the end of the day, this just another reminder that these corporations ain't on our side. They gon' do what's best for their bottom line, no matter who it hurts. Stay woke, y'all. Don't let 'em fool you with the performative allyship.
