Lil Homie Lion Cub Got Rescued, But What About the Rest of Us?
They scoopin' up abandoned cubs, but ain't nobody rescuing folks from these streets, feel me?

Aight, so peep this: some lil' mountain lion cub, they call him Crimson, got left in the Santa Monica mountains by his mama. Park rangers found him, lookin' all weak and skinny, and now he chillin' at the Oakland Zoo. They feedin' him bottles and all that. Cool, right? Animals need love too.
But hold up. What about all the other lil' homies gettin' left behind out here? No fancy zoos for them. No park rangers comin' to the rescue. Just the cold, hard streets and a system that's stacked against 'em from the jump. Crimson got love, he eatin', but what 'bout lil man down the block, hungry and struggling?
They say the mama lion prolly bounced 'cause the cub was missin' some toes. Survival of the fittest, right? But what if mamas out here ain't got no choice but to leave they youngins 'cause they can't afford to feed 'em? What if the 'hood is so messed up, it's the only way to keep 'em safe? That's survival too, ain't it?
Oakland Zoo CEO Nik Dehejia talkin' 'bout “habitat fragmentation, urban development and human-wildlife conflict.” Real talk, that's gentrification in disguise. They buildin' condos and pushin' folks out, ain't no room for lions or people no more. It's all 'bout the money, man. They ain't thinkin' 'bout the animals or the peeps.
They sayin' this cub's gonna get hooked up with another lil' lion named Clover. They gon' be playin' together, livin' the good life in captivity. Meanwhile, kids in Oakland ain't got no parks to play in, no safe spaces to just be kids. Where's the love for them?
This ain't to hate on the lion cub. He didn't ask for this. But it's wild how much attention and resources go to animals while folks out here scrapin' by. It's like, they care more about the wilderness than the people livin' in it. That's messed up.
Real talk, if they wanna make a difference, they need to invest in the community. Fund schools, create jobs, provide resources for families. Stop buildin' luxury apartments and start buildin' opportunities. Until then, this lion cub rescue is just a feel-good story that don't change nothin' for the people who really need help. They need to stop wastin' time and put real money in the communities that need the most help to survive.
So, yeah, save the lions. But save the people too. We ain't wild animals, but sometimes it feels like we livin' in a jungle out here.
Quit playin' and get real. Stop the cap. It's time for action not talking. Real talk. Period.
Now they got more to deal with, so step up and help out the real folks!
