Gov't Throwin' Bread After Bondi Attack, But Is the Community Really Eatin'?
They droppin' $600M, but is it reachin' the block or just lining pockets? Real talk.

Aight, so check it. The Aussie government just dropped over $600 million after that tragedy at Bondi, right? They sayin' half of that is goin' to the Jewish community for security and whatnot. Now, on one hand, you gotta respect that they tryna step up after somethin' messed up like that happened. But on the other hand, where that money REALLY goin'?
Treasurer Jim Chalmers talkin' 'bout strengthenin' national security and unity. Word. But lemme tell you somethin', unity ain't just about throwin' money at one community. Unity is about makin' sure everybody eatin'. So, is the gov'ment really lookin' out for the whole fam, or just playin' favorites?
The Executive Council of Australian Jewry (ECAJ) gettin' $124 million for security. Cool. And $22 million comin' from criminal assets? That's wild. But how many Black-owned businesses gettin' that kinda support when they get hit by hate? I ain't hatin', I'm just sayin', the playing field ain't level.
Jewish community orgs gettin' $131 million, including $4.4 million for the Chabad of Bondi. Bless 'em. But what about the community centers in the hood that are always strugglin' for funds? The ones tryina keep kids off the streets and give 'em a chance? Y'all hear 'bout them gettin' any bread?
Charities like Jewish House and Jewishcare gettin' $4 million to help victims. That's real. But the mental health services for folks dealin' with trauma every day in the streets? Still underfunded. Surf clubs get $200k for helpin' at the scene. Salute to them. But let's not forget about the real heroes in the community, the ones doin' the work day in and day out without the cameras.
And Lewis' Continental Kitchen, that Kosher spot that burned down? They gettin' half a million. I hope they bounce back. But gotta ask, what about the other small businesses that get burned, literally or figuratively, and ain't got nobody to bail 'em out? Where's their lifeline?
They spendin' $131 million on the royal commission and $207 million to fight antisemitism. Gotta fight hate, no doubt. But let's not act like other forms of hate ain't real. Islamophobia, racism, homophobia – all that mess needs addressin', too. It ain't just about one thing.
They buildin' an $80 million online center to stop youth radicalization. That sounds like some Big Brother stuff to me. Watch out, kids, they be watchin'. And that gun buyback program? They ain't tellin' us how much it costs. Transparency is key, y'all. Don't let 'em hide the ball.
