Gov Trippin': They Ain't Funding Justice for Our Sisters!
Domestic violence ain't a game, but these politicians playin' us like fools.

Aight, so check it: the government done said nah to funding domestic homicide reviews (DHRs). Straight up, that's a slap in the face to every woman out here dealin' with abuse, and especially to Black women who already face so much mess. This ain't just 'bout money, it's 'bout respect and protectin' our community.
This Domestic Abuse Commissioner lady, Nicole Jacobs, she's righteously pissed. She sayin' it's 'deeply concerning' that local councils ain't gettin' the bread to do these DHRs. These reviews supposed to be learnin' from tragedies, makin' sure this ish don't happen again. But how they gonna learn if they ain't got the funds, fam?
They sayin' local authorities got the money already, it's in the 'local government funding settlement.' But come on, we know how that goes. That money gettin' stretched thinner than grandma's Sunday gravy. They ain't prioritizing our sisters who need help, they worried 'bout other stuff that don't keep us safe.
These DHRs been around since '11, got bigger in '16 to include suicides linked to domestic abuse. And guess what? Suicides outnumberin' homicides for three years straight. Wake up! This ain't just physical abuse, it's mental too. They playin' with our lives out here.
Jacobs talkin' 'bout councils sayin' they might have to stop doin' these reviews 'cause they broke. That's BS. You tellin' me you can find money for wars and shady deals, but can't find ten stacks (£10,000) for each review to save a life? That's a damn shame.
This government always talkin' 'bout fightin' for women and girls, but their actions speak louder than words. They steady doin' the bare minimum, playin' politics with our lives. We need bold moves, not crumbs off the table. They need to start listenin' to the folks on the ground, the ones who see this ish every day.
Domestic abuse ain't a private matter, it's a community problem. It's tied to poverty, racism, and the system bein' rigged against us. We need more than just DHRs, we need resources for prevention, education, and support for survivors. We need to heal our community, not just bury our dead.
The lack of funding gonna hit Black and Brown women the hardest, no doubt. We already dealin' with cops who don't take us seriously, shelters that are full, and a system that ain't built for us. This just gonna make it harder for us to get the help we need. It's like they want us to stay silent and suffer in silence, but we ain't goin' for it.
This ain't just 'bout DHRs, it's 'bout power. It's 'bout who gets to decide who lives and who dies. They decidin' our lives ain't worth investin' in, but we gotta prove 'em wrong. We gotta organize, mobilize, and demand justice for our sisters. We gotta make sure they hear our voices loud and clear.
We need community-led solutions, not just government handouts. We need to support each other, build our own networks of support, and create safe spaces for survivors. We gotta be the change we wanna see, 'cause ain't nobody comin' to save us but us.
So, next time you see a politician smilin' and talkin' 'bout 'family values,' remember this. Remember they ain't puttin' their money where their mouth is. Remember they playin' us for fools. And remember that we gotta fight for our sisters, 'cause ain't nobody else gonna do it for us. No cap.
This is for every sista out there grindin', survivin', and fightin' for a better life. We see you, we hear you, and we got you. Stay strong, stay vigilant, and keep pushin' for justice. 'Cause ain't nobody stoppin' us but us. Period.
