Florida Court Trippin': Ex-Cop's Execution Still on Hold, DNA Test Sayin' Nothing
The system playin' games with this Duckett cat's life, questionin' if justice real or just a facade.

TALLAHASSEE, FL – Aight, so check it: the Florida Supreme Court just hit the brakes on the execution of James Duckett, this ex-cop who got bagged for murda' and r@pe back in '87. The victim? A lil' shawty, 11-year-old Teresa McAbee. Now, they said they waitin' on some DNA test results, but the tests came back doin' the cha-cha – inconclusive, know what I'm sayin'?
This whole situation is mad suspect. They had this dude locked up for almost 40 years. Then all of a sudden, DNA 'evidence' gotta determine his fate? That sound like sumthin' outta a bad Law & Order episode.
Now, Duckett was a cop, right? So, you already know some folks in the community ain't gonna shed no tears if he gets the juice. But at the same time, this whole thing feels fishy. Like the system just tryna cover its own tracks. Cops protect cops, and even when they get caught slippin', the system still be workin' for 'em. That's just how it be, fam.
They claim they found Teresa's body strangled and drowned, right near where Duckett was posted at. At the time, they found hair at the scene that matched this fool. But nowadays, that evidence ain't got no weight cuz it's unreliable. But is it really about the science, or is it cuz they don't wanna fry one of their own?
Now, the Attorney General all hot and bothered, tryin' to get the go-ahead to spark Duckett up. But the Supremes said, 'Nah, hol' up. We need to look at this DNA bizness first.' Six out of seven of 'em voted to keep the execution on pause, givin' the lower court until April 2nd to sort they ish out. That's barely a week. What they gon' find in a week that they ain't found in 40 years?
It's always the same song and dance. The system moves slow for us, but when it's one of them, suddenly everything's urgent. Just shows you how messed up this whole thing is. So, the system will keep doing what they do and pretend to be colorblind.
They say they found Duckett's prints on his patrol car. His tire tracks matched the scene where Teresa was found. But the hair from the scene is what they're using to convict. All I'm sayin' is, if this man walks free, best believe folks in the community ain't gon' be feelin' the justice system at all. It'll be one more nail in that coffin. Fo real.
Look, at the end of the day, a lil' girl lost her life. Whether Duckett did it or not, the system gotta get it right. If they fry an innocent man, it's on them. But if they let a guilty man walk, they failin' Teresa and the whole damn community.
Them fools are playin' games with peoples' lives. It ain't right. But, that's the America we livin' in, right? Same song, different verse. Still watchin' our backs, stayin' woke, and hopin' one day, justice gon' be blind for real.
This just goes to show you the system is rigged. This is America.
