Feds Tryna Make Sure Miami Jails Don't Let Out Cuban Migrant Locked Up for Drugging and Raping Passenger
Dude got let into the country back in '21 and was out here playing Uber driver; now the community wants him locked up forever.

The streets of Miami just got a heavy wake-up call about who's really behind the wheel of these rideshares. Federal immigration officials are literally begging Florida authorities not to let a Cuban national named Yusel Keoma Perez-Leyva step one foot back on the block after he got busted for allegedly drugging and raping a woman who was just trying to get home safe.
This 42-year-old dude was operating as an Uber driver on June 18 when he picked up the victim after she was out clubbing. The victim says she got drugged during the ride, and when she woke up the next day sore and in pain, she knew something was dead wrong. When the police went to check the security cameras at Perez-Leyva’s apartment complex, the footage showed him carrying her straight into his place while she was completely passed out and helpless. He’s now facing heavy-duty charges of kidnapping and sexual battery.
What’s got people really mad is how this dude was even allowed on the streets in the first place. DHS let it slip that Perez-Leyva crossed the border illegally in Arizona back in 2021, but instead of getting sent back home, the Biden administration just let him slide right into the country. He ended up in Miami, got himself an Uber account, and started preying on women.
DHS Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis put it plain and simple: "This illegal alien from Cuba is charged with raping and kidnapping a woman in Miami," Bis said. "This sexual predator was released into our country by the Biden Administration. ICE has lodged a detainer against him, and because Florida cooperates with ICE, he will be turned over to ICE custody and never released into American communities again."
Real talk, our sisters and daughters shouldn't have to worry about whether their driver is a predator who shouldn't even be in the state. While the politicians in Washington run their mouths, the folks on the ground are the ones paying the price for these weak vetting systems. These multi-billion-dollar gig apps are letting anybody drive without real security, and the feds are just letting people walk free at the border.
Thankfully, Florida doesn't play those sanctuary city games. Down here, Miami-Dade corrections actually cooperates with ICE, meaning once the local courts are done dealing with this clown, he’s going straight to a federal detention center and getting sent packing. Nobody on the block wants predators like this walking free.
