Feds Sweep 10K Alleged Gang Members Off the Block in Massive ICE Crackdown
While DHS secretary brags about 'turbocharging' the streets, regular people are watching the feds run heavy metro sweeps.

The feds are out here moving heavy. The Trump administration just announced that federal authorities have locked up over 10,000 alleged gang members since the start of his second term. While the politicians in Washington are busy high-fiving over these numbers, the people living on the block are watching ICE and local police run massive sweeps through their neighborhoods.
According to the Department of Homeland Security, the feds aren't playing around with the charges. They're talking about heavy cases like murder, assault with a deadly weapon, drug trafficking, racketeering, robbery, and extortion. If you're doing dirt on the streets, the government is making it clear they are coming straight for you with everything they've got.
DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin was quick to take the mic and talk his talk, praising ICE for cleaning up the streets. But Mullin also used the moment to throw major shade at the previous administration, claiming a lot of these guys got a free pass under Joe Biden. Mullin said these gang members were out here robbing, assaulting, and terrorizing innocent people "for sport."
To make these sweeps happen, the government is using something called the Secure America Act. Mullin says this law has completely "turbocharged" ICE, giving them the green light to go hard in metropolitan areas. For the community, this means seeing more federal badges, more tactical gear, and more raids in places where people are just trying to get by.
To prove they're hitting their targets, DHS put a spotlight on the 10,000th person they arrested: a Mexican national named Javier Hernandez Rosas. The feds say Rosas is an undocumented immigrant and an alleged member of MS-13. According to his rap sheet, he's already caught convictions for cocaine possession and has been booked before for abduction and weapons charges.
At the same time, the feds have built a massive wall of manpower at the southern border. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) just reached its highest staffing level in 102 years, putting 21,471 agents on the payroll. With that many badges on the line, the administration claims illegal crossings have dropped by more than 87% compared to October 2024.
Trump is saying this massive drop is happening because the feds are making it too hot for criminals to stay. Between the expanded metro raids, reverse migration, and foreign prisons clearing out, the administration is making sure the streets feel the pressure of this new crackdown. Whether it makes neighborhoods safer or just puts them under siege, the feds are definitely making their presence felt.
