Etan Thomas Callin' Out Stephen A. Smith: Is He Really For The Culture?
Etan Thomas drops a truth bomb on why a lot of Black folks ain't feelin' Stephen A., and it ain't just 'cause he loud.

Aight, so Etan Thomas just put Stephen A. Smith on blast, and it's got the whole community talkin'. He dropped an open letter explainin' why a lot of brothas and sistas ain't really vibin' with Stephen A. no more, and it's deeper than just him bein' a loudmouth on TV.
Etan starts off by givin' Stephen A. props for what he do for HBCUs, helpin' get scholarships and bringin' attention to our schools. That's real, gotta respect that. But then he gets straight to the point: why Stephen A. always gotta be hatin' on Black athletes?
Chuck Modiano, from The Collision, said it best: Stephen A. quick to criticize Kyrie, LeBron, all them dudes, but he ain't comin' at the owners and big wigs like that. It's like he got a different standard for Black folks, and that ain't cool.
And it ain't just sports, it's the politics too. Stephen A. out here soundin' like a whole Republican sometimes, talkin' 'bout racism ain't that bad and folks get judged by their character. Bruh, where he been livin'? That ain't the Black experience, not at all.
Then he start defendin' ICE and makin' excuses for Trump. Meanwhile, he doggin' on Black athletes for every little thing. It's a double standard, and it's hurtin' the community. Then he be rockin' with Sean Hannity, who done said some wild stuff about Black Lives Matter and denyin' systemic racism. It's like, which side is he on?
But the real slap in the face was when Stephen A. said Black folks should vote Republican 'cause the Democrats takin' our vote for granted. He conveniently forgot that the Civil Rights Act and all that came from Democrats. He actin' like we just "givin'" our votes away, like we ain't got no sense. Nah, we remember what they did for us, but that don't mean we can't call 'em out when they ain't doin' right by us either. But don't be tellin' us to run to the Republicans, who been tryna suppress our vote for years.
Etan's right, Black folks ain't no monolith. We all got our own minds and can make our own decisions. But we gotta stay informed and remember our history. Can't let nobody tell us who to vote for or what to believe.
Stephen A. got a big platform, and he need to use it to uplift the community, not tear it down. He gotta check himself and remember where he came from. Is he really for the culture, or is he just chasin' clout?
