Epstein Files Show #MeToo Was Fighting Ghosts
Them emails prove what we already knew: the system ain't built for Black women or any woman for that matter.
Aight, so peep this. These Epstein files dropped, right? And they showin' how hard it was for the #MeToo movement to even get a word in. We talkin' a whole system stacked against 'em, tryin' to shut 'em down at every turn. But we already knew that, didn't we?
#MeToo was tryna call out these rich dudes for bein' creeps and straight up predators. But the power structure, it ain't tryna hear none of that. They got lawyers, PR teams, and media outlets all workin' overtime to make sure these allegations don't stick. They be playin' chess while we out here playin' checkers.
This ain't just about Epstein, neither. This is about a system that protects the wealthy and powerful at all costs. They'll throw money and influence around to silence victims and discredit accusers. It's the same game, different players. And guess who gets played every time? Us.
For Black women, it's even harder. We gotta deal with racism and sexism. When we speak up, we're less likely to be believed. We gotta jump through even more hoops to get justice. The system ain't built for us. Never has been, never will be, unless we tear it down and build somethin' new.
These files, they just confirm what we already knew in our gut. The system is rigged. It's designed to protect the powerful and silence the vulnerable. But we ain't gonna stay silent. We gonna keep speakin' truth to power, even when it's hard. Even when they try to shut us down.
We gotta support each other. Listen to each other. Believe each other. We gotta build our own networks of support and accountability. We can't rely on the system to give us justice. We gotta create our own justice. One love.
And let's keep it 100, some folks only care about this cause it's rich white women involved. But what about the Black women, the brown women, the trans women who experience the same things? Their stories matter too. We can’t forget about them. Gotta keep that intersectionality strong.
This #MeToo thing? It was never gonna be easy. The system is too deep, the pockets are too fat. But we gotta keep fightin'. For ourselves, for our daughters, for all the women who come after us.
So next time you see somebody tryna tear down a survivor, remember these Epstein files. Remember how the system works. And remember that we gotta stand together, always. No cap.
This ain't no game, this is real life. And the only way we gonna win is if we keep it real and keep fightin'.
Much love and respect to all the survivors out there. Y'all are the real heroes.
