EHRC Trippin': Trans Folks Banned From Da Bathroom, Fo Real?
They sayin' single-sex means what it means, and trans peeps gotta find somewhere else to go; ain't that some bullsh*t?

Aight, so check it: the EHRC, that's supposed to be lookin' out for everybody's rights, just dropped some mess. They sayin' that single-sex bathrooms and locker rooms gotta be just for folks born with the right parts. Meaning trans men and women gettin' the boot. Word on the street is this all started with some court ruling last year, but it's still messed up.
They tryin' to play it like they ain't hatin', sayin' businesses gotta have gender-neutral options too. But that ain't the same, is it? Makes it seem like trans folks ain't good enough to just use the regular bathroom. And you know some places ain't even gonna bother with the neutral joints. Just straight-up exclusion.
Some folks, the ones who always hatin' on trans people anyway, are pumpin' they fists about this. Sayin' it's a win for women's safety and all that. But real talk, who's safety is really at risk here? Ain't nobody gettin' hurt by a trans woman usin' the ladies' room. But you know who is at risk? The trans person just tryin' to live their life.
The EHRC tryin' to say clubs and stuff can still be cool with trans folks if they want, but then they throwin' wrenches in the game by sayin' a service can't be 'single-sex' no more if they let a trans person use the bathroom that matches who they are. That's just askin' for lawsuits and more drama. In healthcare they pushing this crap too, meaning trans patients gettin' put on wards based on what they were born as, not who they are. That mess is crazy.
The head of the EHRC, Mary-Ann Stephenson, talkin' 'bout needin' a bigger conversation 'bout toilets and different needs. But ain't nobody got time for that when people are gettin' straight-up discriminated against. We need action, not more talk. A Trans+ Solidarity Alliance director saying it’s giving “section 28 moment for this Labour government” and “worryingly similar to a US bathroom ban condemned by the UK Foreign Office in 2016”.
Alexandra Parmar-Yee, from Trans+ Solidarity Alliance, is straight up callin' it a modern-day Section 28. This ain't just about toilets, it's about bein' treated like a second-class citizen. This law is a mess, and clearly many businesses will just go gender neutral to avoid the headache, but the government risks pushing trans people yet further out of public life.
Businesses probably gonna start makin' everything gender-neutral just to avoid the drama, which might seem cool on the surface. But real talk, it's just gonna push trans folks further to the margins. This all started cuz For Women Scotland was whinin' 'bout waitin' too long for this to happen. Like they ain't got nothin' better to do than police people's bathroom habits.
