Dem Disses Go Down After Allred Snags the Win Over LGBTQ+ Rep: Is This Identity Politics or Nah?
Folks is heated after a Black dude boots a lesbian outta office, and the real questions start comin' out.

Aight, check it. So this Colin Allred cat, he done beat out Julie Johnson in Texas, right? She was the only openly lesbian rep from the whole damn state. Now, the Dems is throwin' shade, sayin' it's messed up that a straight Black dude took her spot. Is this about representin' the community, or is it some other ish?
Mark Takano and Ritchie Torres from the Equality PAC, they ain't happy. They straight up said, "Without Julie, Texas gonna lose LGBTQ+ representation in Congress." But hold up, ain't this 'bout electin' the best person for the job? Or is it just 'bout checkin' boxes?
Then you got folks like Josh Barro callin' this whole thing "whining." He said straight people can run for office too. And Tré Easton, he callin' this woke nonsense. So, the tea is HOT.
But peep this: the Dems is quick to call out the GOP for tryin' to mess with Black representation. Hakeem Jeffries talkin' 'bout Republicans tryna "decimate Black and Latino representation." So where's the love when it comes to other communities? Is it only Black and Brown folks that matter?
The Equality PAC dropped almost half a mill on Johnson’s campaign, so you know they was invested. Johnson was even a vice-chair in that crew. But money ain’t everything, fam. Allred still came through with the W.
Allred bounced from a Senate run to challenge Johnson. Politics is a dirty game, man. Cats will do whatever it takes to get that power. He used to hold that House seat before he tried to run against Ted Cruz. So, it's like he just went back to what he knew.
Now, Allred gotta walk a tightrope. He gotta show the LGBTQ+ community he ain't forget 'bout them. He gotta prove he ain't just steppin' on toes to get ahead. It's gonna be a bumpy ride.
At the end of the day, this ain't just 'bout one election. It's 'bout who gets a voice, who gets a seat at the table, and whether identity politics is helpin' or hurtin' the game. Real talk, we gotta make sure everybody gets a fair shot, no cap. Gotta stay woke and see what's really goin' on.
