Coral Springs Vice Mayor Gone: Hubby Locked Up, What's Really Goin' On?
Nancy Metayer Bowen dead in her crib, and they already tryna pin it on a 'domestic violence incident' – nah, somethin' ain't adding up.

Aight, so check it. Coral Springs Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer Bowen, she just turned up dead in her crib. Husband locked up already for some alleged domestic violence. Real talk, this whole thing smells fishier than a seafood market on a hot day. Word.
Now, I ain't tryna disrespect the dead, but we gotta keep it 100. This woman was in politics. That's a dirty game, and everybody playin' ain't playin' fair. She was holdin' power, makin' moves, and you know that comes with enemies. So, to just jump straight to the DV narrative? Nah, son. Somethin' ain't right.
They say she was all about the community, fightin' for the people. Cool, but we seen that movie before. Politicians talk a good game, but most of 'em just lookin' out for themselves and their cronies. She was an environmental scientist too, always talkin' 'bout the planet. Meanwhile, corporations be dumpin' toxic waste in our neighborhoods and gettin' away with it. The hypocrisy is real.
Her family put out a statement about her bein' a leader with integrity. The city Facebook page talkin' 'bout her compassion. Man, please. That's just what they supposed to say. Ain't nobody gonna come out and say, 'Yeah, she was kinda shady, but RIP anyway.' Come on now.
Even U.S. Rep. Maxwell Alejandro Frost chimed in, callin' her a 'tireless advocate.' That's his job, tho, right? To big up other politicians. But out here on the streets, we see the real deal. We see the promises that ain't kept, the communities that get left behind. So excuse me if I ain't buyin' the hype.
Nikki Fried, head of the Florida Dems, said she hugged Bowen just days before. Maybe she shoulda felt somethin' then, huh? Or maybe she was too busy politickin' herself. Either way, it don't bring Bowen back.
What we need to know is what really went down. Was this really just some domestic dispute gone wrong? Or was there somethin' else at play? Was she steppin' on the wrong toes? Did she find out somethin' she wasn't supposed to? We need answers, and we ain't gonna get 'em from the same folks who been lyin' to us for years.
This ain't just about one woman's death. It's about the system. It's about the power structures that keep us down. It's about the fact that Black women, especially Black women in positions of power, always gotta watch their backs. So, let's keep our eyes open and demand the truth. 'Cause if we don't, ain't nobody else gonna do it for us. For real.
I'm hopin' we get the real, real, real truth out here man. For real.
