Chi-Town Wildin': 25 Shot Over Memorial Day, Still No Peace
CPD trippin', cancelin' days off like that's gonna solve the real problems on these streets.

Aight, so Memorial Day weekend in the Chi was the same old song and dance. At least 25 folks got hit, man. 25! But ain't nobody catchin' a permanent dirt nap, so I guess that's a small W. But still, it's messed up, ya feel me?
The CPD pullin' they usual move, cancelin' days off. Like that's gonna stop the beef. They need to be out here connectin' with the community, not just ridin' around lookin' for someone to harass. But nah, they just wanna flex that power.
Four teens got popped on the West Side. That's some straight-up BS, man. These kids ain't even lived enough life yet, and they already dealin' with gunshots. Where the love at? Where the opportunities at? All they see is struggle and violence.
Some dude got hit while drivin' in Austin. Golden-colored car pullin' up, sprayin' bullets? Sounds like some movie stuff, but this is real life for us out here. No snitchin', but ain't no justice either. Cycle just keeps on spinnin'.
Mayor Johnson talkin' 'bout parents needin' to watch they kids. Man, a lot of these parents workin' two, three jobs just to keep the lights on. They can't be everywhere at once. The city needs to step up and give these families some support, some resources.
Lopez sayin' it's 'bout parental responsibility? He ain't wrong, but it ain't that simple either. We need jobs, schools, and programs that give these kids somethin' to look forward to. Can't just blame the parents when the whole system is rigged against us.
This ain't just some random violence. This is a symptom of the bigger picture. Lack of opportunities, police brutality, and a system that's designed to keep us down. Until we address that, the shootings ain't gonna stop.
We need to start lookin' out for each other, buildin' our own communities, and creatin' our own opportunities. Can't rely on the government or the corporations to save us. We gotta save ourselves.
Real talk, though, Memorial Day ain't always a celebration for us. It's a reminder of all the fallen soldiers, both on the streets and overseas. It's a reminder that freedom ain't free, and we still fightin' for ours every day.
So, to all my Chi-town folks, stay safe out there. Keep your head on a swivel and watch each other's backs. We all we got. And to the powers that be, do better. Invest in our communities, create opportunities, and stop treatin' us like we ain't human.
We need more than just hashtags and empty promises. We need real change, real investment, and real justice. Until then, the cycle of violence will continue, and we'll keep losin' our brothers and sisters to the streets.
No cap. Let's keep it a buck.
