Burham Messin' With The Green Team? Nah, He Playin' Games
Mayor from up North showin' love to Green Party, but some folks in his own crew ain't feelin' it. Real talk, what's the play?

Aight, check it. So, Andy Burnham, the mayor from Greater Manchester, he out here tryna be all kumbaya with the Green Party and Lib Dems. He at this 'Change:Now' event, organized by some left-wing heads at Compass. Now, some folks in his own Labour crew ain't happy 'bout it. Sayin' he messin' up their local election game. But I'm sayin', what's really goin' on?
This Compass crew, they all 'bout cross-party alliances. Neal Lawson, the founder, been pushin' for this for a minute. He a big Burnham supporter too. Burnham, along with Clive Lewis and Miatta Fahnbulleh, gonna be speakin' at the event. Plus, Caroline Lucas from the Greens, Vince Cable from the Lib Dems, the whole squad pullin' up. It's lookin' like a real coalition of the woke, ya feel me?
But here's the tea. This event comin' right after the local elections, where Labour and the Greens be battlin' it out. So, some Labour folks ain't feelin' Burnham givin' the Greens no shine. Luke Akehurst, a Starmer supporter, sayin' Labour members shouldn't be rockin' with the Greens 'cause of the antisemitism drama in their party. Two Green candidates got arrested for some messed up social media posts. That's a bad look, fam.
Another Labour MP, speakin' on the low, sayin' now ain't the time for coalition talk. He say Burnham already said he'd work with Corbyn, and now he wanna work with another party that's got antisemitism issues? He callin' it 'unconscionable.' Sheesh.
Burnham ain't sayin' nothin'. His people tryna spin it like he just 'advancin' progressive ideas.' But is he really helpin' Labour, or is he plottin' his own move? Is this about the people, or is he frontin'? It’s hard to say, y’know?
This event 'bout to go down May 30 in East London. They gonna be talkin' 'bout proportional representation and all that. Burnham been on that wave for years. Some folks on the left think it's the only way to go, 'cause the left-wing vote gettin' split up. The Greens been climbin' in the polls, double their numbers since last year. But other folks think Labour gotta take the Green threat head-on. No free passes.
It's all a power play, for real. Burnham tryna position himself, see where the chips fallin'. He might be thinkin' long-term, tryin' to build somethin' new. Or he might just be lookin' out for number one. Only time gon' tell.
But for the rest of us, we gotta see what's really goin' on. Corporate media stay tellin' half the story. They never talkin' 'bout how these decisions affect regular folks. We gotta do our own research, connect the dots, and hold these politicians accountable. No cap.
