Birmingham City Council Playin' Dirty: Doublin' Agency Dough While Workers Hustlin' for Fair Pay
Council sayin' it ain't breakin' the picket line, but that money talk louder than they words when fam tryna feed they kids.

Aight, so check it. Birmingham City Council in the UK straight up playin' games with they workers. Them bin men and women been on strike, tryna get they bread right, fightin' against cuts and them changing they job descriptions. Real talk, these folks out here doin' the dirty work, keepin' the city clean, and the Council tryna lowball 'em?
Now peep this: The Council been sayin' they ain't got the funds, but a Guardian report done exposed somethin' wild. Since the strike kicked off in March 2025, they done DOUBLED the bread they spend on agency workers. We talkin' goin' from £4.3 million to over £8.8 million between April and December. Come on, man. That ain't right.
These workers out here strikin' since January, puttin' they livelihoods on the line, fightin' for what's right. Meanwhile, the Council tryin' to act like they ain't got no money? That's a whole lotta cap. They got money for agency workers, but not for the folks who been holdin' down the city for years?
The Council claimin' that these agency workers ain't doin' the jobs of the strikers, sayin' they just coverin' for folks on leave and takin' care of extra stuff like fly-tippin'. But come on, who they foolin'? They think we born yesterday?
Sharon Graham, the head of Unite, ain't havin' it. She callin' out the Council for tryin' to bust the union, sayin' they wastin' taxpayer money tryna break the strike instead of just payin' they workers what they worth. Straight facts.
Real talk, this ain't just about bins and trash. This is about respect. This about the Council showin' they workers that they value 'em. But instead, they showin' they hand. They showin' they rather spend double the money on agency workers than treat the workers right.
The city streets gettin' dirty, bins overflowin', and the Council sittin' pretty, pockets lined, actin' like they doin' us a favor. Nah, fam. We see through that. The community see through that.
Birmingham Council needs to get they priorities straight. Stop wastin' the people's money tryna break the strike and actually listen to the workers. Pay 'em what they worth, treat 'em with respect, and get the city back on track. Until then, this ain't nothin' but a straight-up power move, and the community payin' the price.
