Bernie Showin' Love to Some Brothers in the D: But Is It Gon' Change Thangs?
Bernie Sanders came to Detroit, but will his endorsement help these cats push for real change or is it just more empty promises for the community?

Aight, so Bernie Sanders hit up Detroit, right? He out there with Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, tryna get him in the Senate, and State Rep. Donavan McKinney, who's runnin' for Congress. Both these dudes talkin' that talk 'bout changin' the game, but we gotta see if they really 'bout it, ya feel me?
Bernie talkin' 'bout fightin' the oligarchy and all that. But what's that really mean for us on the block? We need jobs, schools that ain't trash, and police that don't be harassin' us every five minutes. Will these cats deliver, or is it just more political BS?
El-Sayed tryna push 'Medicare-for-all' and abolish ICE. Abolish ICE? That's a bold move. ICE been snatchin' up folks left and right, tearin' families apart. But what's the plan after that? How we gonna handle immigration? Gotta have a real solution, not just empty words.
McKinney on the same wave, 'Medicare-for-all' and abolish ICE. He runnin' against the incumbent, so he gotta come strong with his message. But talk is cheap. We need action.
Bernie sayin', 'Over the last six, eight years, we have elected dozens of great members of Congress, strong progressives who are standing up and fighting for the working class. And I certainly hope that Donavan McKinney will join that group.' But how many of them REALLY lookin' out for the Black community? How many actually puttin' in work to make a difference?
El-Sayed got a tough primary ahead of him. Gotta go up against other cats who want that Senate seat. It's gonna be a fight to see who can win over the voters.
Bernie endorsed El-Sayed before, back when he ran for governor. Didn't work out then, but maybe this time it'll be different. Maybe this time, we'll actually see some real change.
But at the end of the day, we gotta hold these cats accountable. Can't just vote 'em in and expect miracles. We gotta stay on their necks, keep pushin' 'em to deliver on their promises. If not, then we gotta find someone else who will. Keep it 100, ya dig?
Word to the motherland.
