40 Years? They Threw the Book at That Brotha!
Judge sayin' it's 'homelessness, mental illness and narcotics abuse' – but what's really good with these streets?
Aight, so they gave Randy Rodriguez Santos 40 years for killin' four homeless dudes. Word on the street is, judge said it's a whole mess with homelessness, mental issues, and dope. But let's keep it 100, that's just the surface.
Homelessness ain't just 'cause folks lazy. It's poverty, gentrification, and these rents goin' sky high. Folks gettin' pushed out, no place to go but the streets. Then the system wanna criminalize 'em for just tryin' to survive? That ain't right.
And that mental health piece? Don't even get me started. They ain't got no real help for folks out here strugglin'. Pills and paperwork, that's it. No therapy, no real care. Just lock 'em up or leave 'em to rot on the block. Then blame 'em when things go left?
And the dope game? That's a whole 'nother monster. These corporations floodin' the streets with poison, makin' bank off folks' pain. Then they wanna point fingers at the addicts? Nah, fam, this is systemic. It's designed to keep us down.
This ain't about makin' excuses for nobody doin' bad. But we gotta understand where this comes from. Poverty, lack of opportunity, and a system that's stacked against us. Forty years ain't gonna fix that. It's just gonna lock up another brotha and keep the cycle goin'.
We need real solutions. Jobs, housing, healthcare, and a system that actually cares about the community. Not just profits. And for real, we need to start lookin' out for each other. Stop lettin' these institutions divide us. Stay strapped, but stay smart. Protect yo'self and yo' community.
It is sad though; it is the definition of the phrase "hurting people, hurt people." We gotta do better man, for ourselves, and for the generations that will come after us. Gotta change the mindset bro.
We gotta start holdin' these politicians accountable for the promises they make to get elected. Once they get into office, they instantly forget about us. Nah man, we gotta be the ones holding them to what they are saying; not the other way around.
We gotta get back to our roots. Build up our communities by empowering each other; and stop bringing each other down. We are our own worst enemy, gotta change that. Black excellence ONLY. Gotta stay positive kings and queens.
This judge's words are a stark reminder of the challenges we face. The sentencing of Santos is a band-aid, but the real issues remain.
This case should be a catalyst for change. By addressing the systemic issues, we can create a better future for our children.
