World Bank Dude Say China Gotta Stop Playin' and Free Up That Food
Ex-Prez talkin' 'bout China holdin' all the grub while folks starvin' and prices sky high — real talk.

Aight, so this ex-World Bank President, David Malpass, he out here tellin' China to quit hoggin' all the food and fertilizer. Said they gotta ease up on the grip 'cause this Iran war mess is messin' up the whole world's supply. This ain't no game when folks can't even feed they families.
This dude used to work for Trump too, so you know there's some politics in this. But straight up, he ain't wrong. China sittin' on the biggest stockpile of food and fertilizer? That's wild when folks in Africa and South America tryna figure out how they gon' eat. It's a power move, and it ain't cool.
He said, "They have the biggest world stockpile of food stuffs and of fertiliser. They can stop building their stockpiles." Facts.
And China been frontin' like they still a 'developing nation'? Nah, fam. They the second biggest economy in the world! They got more bread than Subway. Time to stop playin' poor and start helpin' out. This ain't 'bout charity, it's 'bout doin' what's right.
"They present themselves as a developing country when they're the second biggest economy in the world and in many ways rich," he said. "And yet they still have the pretence of being a developing country in the WTO and in the World Bank, and they could suspend that."
Then this whole situation in the Strait of Hormuz? That's a whole 'nother level of messed up. Iran blockin' the waterway? That's gonna jack up prices on everything. Malpass hopin' China steps up to the plate. They benefit from global trade, so they should be pushin' for peace, not profitin' off the chaos. But let's be real, they gonna do what's best for they pockets first. That's just how the game go.
"You can't have a rogue state with plutonium, and you can't block the Strait of Hormuz," he stated.
"China benefits from open waterways worldwide," he said. "They run the shipping lines, own the containers, and make huge profit from trade with the rest of the world. So, they would be a big loser if Iran in some way had control of the Strait of Hormuz."
He even mentioned prices goin' up here in the US. Like we ain't already knowin'! Inflation hit harder than a Mike Tyson punch. Job market might be “robust,” but wages ain't keepin' up. So, yeah, China need to stop playin' games and free up that food. People out here strugglin' and they sittin' on mountains of it. Straight up, it's messed up.
We need to hold these corporations accountable. These corporations don't care about us, it's about bottom lines and profits. We need to find ways to hold them accountable.
