Whale Smackdown: Windsurfer Learns the Bay Ain't No Joke, Wildlife Struggle Real
Fo' real tho, a surfer catchin' air courtesy of a whale ain't somethin' you see every day, but it's a wake-up call about what's goin' on in these waters.

Aight, so check it. This dude, Eric Kramer, out there tryna catch some wind in the Bay, right? Next thing he knows, bam! Whale outta nowhere, sends him flyin'. He said, “It was a ‘whale’ of a day. Please be cautious and respect wildlife, I had reduced my speed greatly bc I had seen a couple whales in the area but on my last run back it just popped up right in front of me. Glad we are both ok.” Glad he good, but it's deeper than just some random wipeout.
These whales been hangin' 'round since January, which is early, and that ain't a good sign. SF Gate reported one dead in March, hit by a boat. Straight up tragic. Then three more show up dead, and nobody knowin' why? Somethin' ain't right. Last year, 21 of 'em washed up dead. That's a whole lotta whales gone too soon.
Numbers don't lie. These whale populations droppin' like flies since 2016. They say it's 'cause they ain't gettin' enough to eat up in the Arctic. Climate change messin' with their food source. That's real talk. These whales are starvin' out here, and the government sittin' on their hands.
ABC7 sayin' there’s only like six whales chilling in the Bay right now. They just passin' through on their way to the Arctic from Baja. They tryna survive, but the world ain't makin' it easy. NOAA reportin' barely any mama whales with their babies makin' the trip. That's the future gettin' snatched away.
These whales known for bein' curious, comin' up to boats and whatnot, but they also got a right to exist, ya feel me? Gotta respect the wildlife, 'cause they were here first. Feds say stay 100 yards away. But these whales don't be readin' the rulebook, they just tryna live.
This whole situation a reminder that we gotta take care of the environment, for real. It ain't just about the whales either, it's about everybody. If the oceans messed up, we all messed up. They gotta start puttin' some money and real effort behind protectin' these animals, instead of just talkin' about it.
And for real, people need to slow down on these boats, watch where they goin', and respect the water. The Bay ain't just a playground, it's these animals' home. This ain't no joke, yo. Let's keep it 100. Gotta protect our planet and the creatures that live here.
We gotta come together as a community and make sure these whales and other wildlife are able to survive. It's on us to be the change we wanna see. This ain't just a whale of a day, it's a wake-up call. Listen up. No cap.
