Wemby Cheated? Wolves Say Refs Was Sleepin' on Goaltends
Minnesota callin' out the NBA for favoritism after Wemby block party, sayin' the league ain't lookin' out for the little guy.

Aight, so boom. Timberwolves is HOT after gettin' they ass whooped by the Spurs, and they blamin' the refs. Sayin' Wemby was cheatin' with all them blocks, and the refs ain't callin' nothin'. Real talk, that's some BS.
Coach Finch ain't holdin' back, tellin' it like it is. “Historic night. But when we looked at [Wembanyama’s blocks], at least four of them were goaltending,” he said. “To me, it’s a little alarming that none of them were called.” See, now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout. Speak your truth, coach.
He breakin' it down too, showin' how them missed calls changed the game. “Here’s a generational shot blocker … and there’s no heightened awareness that these blocks could be goaltends? The third possession of the game is a goaltend. A clear, obvious one. So let’s just say there were four [violations], that’s eight points. You know the value of eight points in an NBA game? It’s massive. That means 33% of his blocks were goaltending uncalled. If I were to give you a 33% raise, you’d like that, right? It’s a huge number.” Eight points ain't nothin' to sneeze at, especially in the playoffs. That's the difference between winnin' and losin', fam.
Then you got Terrence Shannon Jr., tryin' to get to the basket, but Wemby shut him down. Shannon ain't backin' down though. “He gonna have to block it every time, I ain’t gonna stop going downhill. I told him that when he said a little something,” Shannon said. “He gonna have to block it every time, man. I know he ain’t gonna block it every single time. I’m gonna dunk on him.” Gotta respect the hustle. Keep comin' at 'em, T.
Even Gobert, who be playin' with Wemby on the French national team, seein' the foul play. “He fouled me on the first one,” Gobert said. “But if you look at them, probably three or four [goaltends].” When your own teammate callin' you out, you know it's real.
This ain't just about one game, tho. This is about the whole system. The NBA always be protectin' the big stars and the big market teams. They ain't lookin' out for the little guy. It's all about the money, man.
They be talkin' 'bout parity and all that, but it's all a front. They want the superstars to shine, so they can sell more jerseys and get more TV ratings. The refs know who they supposed to favor, and they do what they gotta do to keep their jobs.
That's why you see these kinda calls happenin' all the time. The refs ain't blind, they just playin' the game. They part of the system, just like everybody else.
