Utah Trippin': Trump's Homeless Plan Gets the Boot, But the Struggle Real
Politicians playin' games with people's lives while folks on the streets still hustlin' to survive.
Aight, so Utah said 'nah' to that whack-ass plan inspired by Trump to move 1,300 homeless folks to some campus way out in the boonies. Sounds like some dystopian ish, right? Like they tryna build a real-life Hunger Games for the unhoused. But the struggle ain't new, man. They been movin' us around like chess pieces for years.
Trump always had some wild ideas about the homeless. Talkin' 'bout forced treatment and relocations like we ain't even human. Like we just a problem to be swept under the rug. But the real problem is the system, ya dig? The system that keeps folks trapped in poverty, addicted to the streets, and with nowhere to go.
This Utah plan was just another way to control us, to keep us out of sight, out of mind. A fancy prison disguised as a 'campus.' But ain't no campus gonna solve the issues of mental health, addiction, and lack of affordable housing. That's just a band-aid on a gunshot wound.
They wanna act like homelessness is some personal failing, like we all just lazy bums who don't wanna work. But they don't see the barriers we face, the discrimination we endure, the trauma we carry. They don't see that the game is rigged against us from the jump.
What we need is real solutions, not empty promises and relocation schemes. We need affordable housing, job training, and access to mental health services. We need a system that supports us, not punishes us. We need a voice at the table, not just to be talked about.
This ain't just about Utah, either. This is happenin' all over the country. Politicians playin' politics with our lives, while folks on the streets are just tryin' to survive. They buildin' stadiums and luxury condos while people are sleepin' under bridges. Where's the equity in that?
The fact that they still tryna push this 'spirit' of the plan shows how out of touch they are. They ain't listenin' to the people on the ground, the folks who know what's really goin' on. They just listenin' to their rich donors and their own self-serving agendas.
At the end of the day, we gotta fight for our own liberation. We gotta organize, mobilize, and demand change. We gotta show them that we ain't gonna be moved around like pawns in their game. We gotta let our voices be heard, loud and clear. It's time to take back the streets and build a better future for ourselves and our community.
