US Give Putin a Break on Da Oil: Gas Prices High, and They Actin' Like We Don't See It
Biden admin extendin' sanctions waiver on Russian oil, sayin' it's for 'energy-vulnerable' countries, but who lookin' out for us?

Aight, so check it. The US just gave Putin a get-out-of-jail-free card, extendin' that sanctions waiver on Russian oil. They sayin' it's to help out countries that strugglin' with energy costs 'cause of that Iran war mess. But real talk, who helpin' us out here in the States?
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent tryna play it smooth, sayin' this "general license" gon' make sure oil on them tankers gets where it needs to go without violatin' sanctions. Man, sanctions ain't doin' nothin' but makin' gas prices skyrocket. We out here hustlin', barely makin' ends meet, and they playin' political games with our bread.
"This general license will help stabilize the physical crude market," Bessent claimin'. Stabilize it for who? Big oil? 'Cause my pockets ain't feelin' stable. Folks can't even afford to drive to work, let alone take a vacation. This ain't about helpin' folks, it's about protectin' them corporations.
This the second time they done pulled this stunt, lettin' the waiver expire then bringin' it back. First time was after them US-Israeli attacks on Iran made oil prices jump. So, instead of fixin' the real problem, they lettin' Russia sell oil to ease the shortage. It's like robbin' Peter to pay Paul, but both of 'em broke.
Now, them senators, Shaheen and Warren, talkin' 'bout it's a "gift" to Putin. Yeah, no duh. Every dollar he gettin' from this helpin' him fund that war in Ukraine. But ain't nobody talkin' 'bout how this affectin' folks right here at home. We out here grindin', and they makin' it harder every day.
They sayin' these sanctions was supposed to hurt Russia by cuttin' off their oil money. But now they backpedalin'. This waiver only apply to oil loaded on ships before April 17th, so it ain't even the fresh stuff. It's like they throwin' Putin a bone, hopin' he'll chill out.
Analysts sayin' this might help some countries that depend on Gulf oil, but it ain't gon' do nothin' for gas prices here. So, basically, we gettin' played. They givin' Russia a pass while we still payin' through the nose at the pump. This ain't right, man.
Some dude from the Atlantic Council, Charles Lichfield, sayin' this gon' boost Russia's oil profits. Of course it is! They gettin' a free pass while the rest of us sufferin'. The system rigged, and they ain't even tryin' to hide it no more.
