UK Throwin' Bread at US Tech Startups? Nah, That Ain't Right, Fam
Aria supposed to be helpin' UK businesses, but they handin' out £50 mil to Silicon Valley? Somethin' ain't addin' up.

Yo, listen up. This ain't no cap. This UK agency, Aria, right? Supposed to be boostin' up science and tech here, but guess what? They out here givin' away OUR money to folks in the States. Fifty million pounds, man! That's enough to change the whole block, but instead, it's goin' to some Silicon Valley cats.
Word is, this Dominic Cummings dude, he cooked this whole thing up. Aria's supposed to be helpin' UK become a science superpower or somethin'. But a lil' diggin' by The Guardian and Democracy for Sale (whoever they is) shows they shipped over an eighth of they £400 million budget to 14 companies over in the US. How that helpin' us?
One of them companies, Rain Neuromorphics, was almost belly up 'fore Aria came through with the save. And guess who else backin' 'em? That OpenAI dude, Sam Altman. So, rich folks helpin' rich folks, us payin' for it. Classic.
This professor from University College London, Cecilia Rikap, she said it straight: they usin' our money to make US tech even bigger. She say the guvment Trump's footman AND big tech's footman! That's cold. Straight up disrespectin' the UK.
Chi Onwurah, from the Commons science committee, she talkin' 'bout needin' more eyes on where Aria spendin' money. She say the Aria Act say it gotta benefit the UK, but how US venture capitalists helpin' us get right? She ain't wrong.
Aria try to play it cool, sayin' they mission is to help the UK, and over 80% of they money stay here. But then they gotta go and drop bread on these US companies. They claimin' they tryna bring the knowledge back here, but I ain't seein' it, fam. Where the receipts at?
They spent £23 million on nine US companies. Then they gave £6 million to Normal Computing, which just set up shop in the UK before gettin' the bag. Plus, they gave £29.4 million to three US VC groups, including Pillar VC, who set up shop one day before they got a £10.9 million contract. Come on, man! This is rigged.
And get this: the CIC Venture Cafe Global Institute gettin' £5.4 million to run events for entrepreneurs, and Fifty Years gettin' £7 million to teach scientists how to start companies. All that money just floatin' over the hood, and none of us ain't gettin' nothin'. This some BS.
