UK Flights Stayin' Up Thanks to Some Shady Bizness in Naija
Them bougie folks across the pond tryna keep they vacations lit with fuel from a spot where workers gettin' dogged out. Real talk.

Aight, listen up. So, these folks over in the UK, right? They facing a jet fuel shortage, and guess where they gettin' they fix from? The Dangote refinery in Lagos, Nigeria. Now, this ain't no feel-good story, cuz this refinery got a rep for treatin' they workers grimey.
See, the UK Transport Secretary, Heidi or whatever her name is, said they need more fuel from West Africa to handle this crisis. And the Dangote refinery, owned by this dude Aliko Dangote, is the main plug. They shipped like 130,000 tonnes of jet fuel to the UK in March. But here's the kicker: This refinery been accused of straight-up union bustin'.
Last fall, the Nigerian government had to step in 'cause Dangote allegedly fired over 800 workers for joinin' the union (Pengassan). Word on the street is they replaced some of 'em with folks from overseas. Straight up disrespect.
Dangote sayin' it was just a 'reorganisation' and that they cool with unions. But the union ain't buyin' it. They even tried to stop fuel deliveries to the refinery in protest. The Nigerian Labour Congress called Dangote out for bein' exploitative and payin' dirt cheap wages.
Eventually, the government made 'em rehire the workers, but who knows if things really changed? Bottom line is, these UK folks tryna keep they summer vacations poppin' off the backs of workers gettin' played in Nigeria. It's the same old game, different continent. Corporations gettin' fat while the little man starvin'.
This ain't just about some refinery in Nigeria. This is about how the system works. Rich countries relyin' on cheap labor and resources from poorer countries to keep they lifestyle goin'. It's a global hustle, and we always on the losin' end. They gettin rich, we gettin played.
And don't get me started on the environment. All that jet fuel pumpin' into the air, messin' up the planet. But who cares, right? As long as them vacation flights keep takin' off, everything's good. Smh.
So, next time you see one of them travel ads on the TV, remember where that fuel comin' from. Remember the workers who gettin' exploited so them privileged folks can sip margaritas on the beach. Keep it 100. Real talk.
This situation just shows you that the system is rigged. It ain't built for us. It's built for them to stay on top, and they ain't afraid to step on anybody to get there. We gotta wake up and start demandin' better. We gotta support workers' rights, fight for fair wages, and hold these corporations accountable. No cap.
