UK Cookin': Climate Change Hitting Da Block Hardest, No Cap
Report sayin' climate change ain't hittin' everybody the same, and you already know who gon' catch the most heat.

Aight, listen up, fam. This Climate Change Committee droppin' knowledge bombs, but it ain't news to us. They sayin' Britain's gettin' hotter, and the struggle real for folks on the come-up. Temperatures already higher than they used to be, and they predictin' even more heatwaves, droughts, and floods. Straight up, that's gonna mess with everybody, but especially those of us already hustlin' just to stay afloat.
They sayin' the UK ain't built for this climate no more. Tell me somethin' I don't know. Infrastructure been crumbling for years, and now climate change gonna make it even worse. This affects transportation, housing, schools, everything. And guess who lives in the oldest, jankiest buildings? We do. This is what happens when politicians worry about themselves rather than the people.
That report mentioned pregnant women being vulnerable to the heat. Straight up, that's scary. Pre-term births, stillbirths, all that. When moms can't keep cool, babies suffer. And you know who lackin' the AC and resources to deal with that heat? Folks in our community. It's a systemic issue.
They talkin' 'bout schools too. Kids can't focus and pass exams when they sweat like crazy. The Climate Change Committee want AC in all schools by 2050. That's a long time from now, yo. Plenty of kids gonna suffer before then. Meanwhile, rich schools already chillin'. It's always the same double standard.
And let's not even get started on the cribs. Nine outta ten British homes at risk of overheating, they say. Air conditioning the only answer? Maybe. But who can afford that? Landlords ain't gonna pay for it, and the government ain't cuttin' no checks for AC units. So what we supposed to do, roast? It's crazy.
Food prices goin' up too. Climate change messin' with crops, and that means staples gettin' more expensive. Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit sayin' climate change done added like £360 to the average annual food bill. And it's gonna get worse by November. Rich folks can handle that. But when you already strugglin' to feed your family, that extra money hurt. Everything affects something else.
And when the floods come? Rich folks can move or fix their houses. We stuck. We ain't got the bread to bounce or pay for flood defenses. And don't even get me started on access to parks and green spaces. We ain't got that in the hood. We trapped in concrete jungles, breathin' fumes and bakin' in the sun. Straight disrespect.
