UK 'Bout To Be Cookin': Heatwave Comin' for Dat Bank Holiday Weekend!
Forecasters sayin' it's 'bout to get HOT, like record-breakin' hot, and they dropped amber alerts on us.

Aight, listen up fam. The UK 'bout to turn up the heat, literally. We talkin' a whole heatwave situation comin' our way for the bank holiday weekend. The weather people be sayin' temperatures might hit 34C (that's 93 degrees for my American cousins), which is hotter than a stolen iPhone. And they done hit us with them amber health alerts, which basically means stay cool or you gon' be in trouble.
Heathrow, they sayin' it already been 28C (82F) for three days straight. Frittenden, Kent hit 30.5C (86.9F) on Saturday. That's the hottest it's been all year. Now they predictin' even more heat, reachin' 31C in the south-east and maybe even 34C on Monday. Straight up, this ain't no joke.
They tryna blame this on the climate crisis, sayin' it's makin' extreme heat more likely. One of them Met Office peeps even said breakin' the May record is three times more likely now than before the Industrial Revolution. Man, they always got somethin' to blame on the man, right?
Jonathan Vautrey from the Met Office talkin' 'bout “plentiful amounts of sunshine” and temperatures over 30C. If it hits 33C or 34C, he sayin' it'll be the hottest bank holiday EVER and the hottest day in May EVER. This heat ain't no game, especially for the elders and folks with health problems.
So listen up, y'all. Stay hydrated, find some shade, and check on your people, especially the ones who can't handle the heat. And don't be fooled by them fancy cricket grounds relaxin' dress codes for the rich folks while the rest of us sweatin' it out. This heat hits different dependin' on where you at and what you got. Stay safe out there, fam.
