Trump Tryna Rig the Game in South Carolina, But Some Folks Ain't Havin' It
SC state senators check Trump's power grab, protectin' the vote for the people, even if some of 'em ain't down with the struggle.

Yo, check it, real talk. Trump, still outchea tryna run thangs like he own 'em, tried to get South Carolina to redraw the maps so his folks can stay in power. But hold up – some Republicans in the Senate, along with the Dems, said nah, we ain't playin' that game. They shut that mess down 29-17, ain't enough votes to pass. This after the Supreme Court done messed around and weakened the Voting Rights Act, makin' it easier for states to pull this kinda shady stuff.
Trump was all on Twitter, talkin' 'bout “GET IT DONE!” like he orderin' a burger. But Shane Massey, the Republican leader in the Senate, wasn't feelin' the pressure. He said, “Too many people in power want to do whatever it takes to stay in power… I believe the legitimate use of power in this case is to make people safer.” Straight up speakin' truth to power.
See, this ain't just 'bout some lines on a map. This is 'bout who gets a voice, who gets represented. When they redraw these districts, they can pack all the Black folks into one area, so our vote don't count nowhere else. That's how they keep us down, man. Gotta stay woke.
Massey said he might get heat from Trump for this, but he doin' what he think is right. Salute to that. Gotta respect a politician standin' up for somethin', even if we don't see eye-to-eye on everything else. It's rare these days.
The Supreme Court givin' states more power over this redistricting is straight bull. It's like handin' a kid a loaded gun. They gonna abuse that power, especially in places where they don't want Black folks votin' or havin' any real say-so.
This South Carolina vote a small W, but the fight ain't over. They gonna keep tryna find ways to suppress our vote, whether it's redrawin' districts, makin' it harder to register, or closin' poll places in our neighborhoods. Gotta stay vigilant, keep organizin', and keep showin' up to the polls.
We gotta remember that politicians work for us, not the other way around. We gotta hold 'em accountable and make sure they representin' our interests, not just their own. Too many of 'em get into office and forget where they came from. They start thinkin' they better than us. Gotta check 'em, real quick.
This ain't no game. This is about our lives, our communities, and our future. We gotta fight for what's right, even when it's hard. Gotta stay strong, stay focused, and stay united. Power to the people, always.
