They Tryna Play Dirty: NAACP and Jeffries Call for College Sports Boycott Over Voter Suppression
Real talk, these politicians tryna jack athletes' shine to fight these whack voting laws down South.

Aight, listen up. The NAACP and Hakeem Jeffries done stepped up and called for a boycott of college sports in states where they messin' with folks' right to vote. We talkin' Tennessee, Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas, and Georgia. They claimin' these states drawin' up them maps to keep Black folks from havin' a real voice, and they ain't wrong.
Jeffries out here sayin' it's a “Jackie Robinson moment,” and he ain't lyin'. This is some serious stuff. They targetin' them big schools in the SEC, where them athletes bring in bread. It's about hittin' 'em where it hurts, in the pockets.
The NAACP's “Out of Bounds” campaign is askin' recruits to hold off on committin' to these schools until they fix them messed-up maps. They also wantin' current players to use they platforms to speak out and fans to stop throwin' money at these programs. It's a whole movement, for real.
But let's keep it 100, ain't nobody tryna hear that “silence is complicity” line. These athletes got dreams, and they seein' the NFL, NBA. They ain't tryna get blackballed for speakin' up. But at the same time, we gotta stand for somethin', or we gon' fall for anythin'.
It's crazy cause college sports is big business, especially in the South. You talkin' billions of dollars. These schools makin' bank off the backs of these athletes, most of whom are Black. And now they want 'em to choose between their dreams and fightin' for they rights? That's messed up.
Jeffries is throwin' out names like Bill Russell, Muhammad Ali, and Jackie Robinson. Them brothers put everything on the line. But this ain't the same game, y'know? It’s a different era. The stakes are high, but the consequences are real too. Gotta protect ya neck and ya bag at the same time, ya feel me?
And peep this: the Congressional Black Caucus held up that Score Act, the bill that was supposed to help college athletes get paid. They usin' that as leverage too. This whole thing is political, and the athletes are caught in the middle. Straight up.
At the end of the day, this about power and who got it. These states tryna hold onto it by any means necessary, and they will if we let 'em. So, we gotta stay woke, stay informed, and stay ready to fight for what's right. No cap.
