They Gon' Work Us 'Til We Drop: Study Shows How These Dead-End Jobs Messin' Up Young Blood's Health
Report drops truth bombs 'bout how low-wage gigs in hospitality and retail be leavin' folks too sick to hustle.

Aight, check it, fam. This ain't no surprise to us, but they finally puttin' it on paper. This study, done for the TUC, basically sayin' what we already know: these dead-end jobs they got us doin' in hospitality, retail, and all that, they ain't just payin' peanuts, they breakin' our backs and messin' with our minds too.
They talkin' 'bout how young folks is more likely to bounce from these jobs 'cause they gettin' sick. Like, duh. You expectin' us to be happy servin' rich folks all day for minimum wage, standin' on our feet for hours, dealin' with Karens and Kevins? Nah, fam, that ain't livin', that's survivin'.
This ain't just 'bout the money, neither. It's 'bout the stress, the lack of respect, the feelin' like you just a number. They got us on these zero-hour contracts, meanin' they can call you in whenever they want, and cut you off whenever they feel like it. Ain't no security, ain't no stability. How you supposed to build a future like that?
Clare McNeil from Timewise talkin' 'bout a "rising epidemic of inactivity" among young folks. She right. But it ain't 'cause we lazy. It's 'cause we burnt out. We see the game, and we ain't tryna play it no more. We ain't tryna slave away for scraps while these corporations rakin' in billions.
The study sayin' that sectors like wholesale, retail, food, and healthcare (ironic, right?) is where most folks is endin' up on long-term sick leave. And guess who workin' them jobs? Young folks, that's who. Hospital porters, drivers, kitchen staff, all them frontline workers gettin' played.
They talkin' 'bout Alan Milburn doin' a review on youth inactivity. Word? He need to come to the block and ask us what's really goin' on. He need to see how these jobs is really affectin' us, not just look at the numbers.
Pat McFadden got this program to pay employers to hire young folks who been out of work. That's cool and all, but it ain't addressin' the real problem. We need jobs that pay a livable wage, offer benefits, and treat us like human beings.
Milburn talkin' 'bout parents fearin' their kids won't do as well as they did. That's real, too. 'Cause the system rigged against us. But we ain't givin' up. We gotta fight for our future, fight for our health, fight for our respect.
We gotta find ways to create our own opportunities, build our own businesses, and support each other. We gotta show these corporations that we ain't gon' let them grind us down. We gotta stay woke, stay strong, and stay true to ourselves. Real talk. Gotta get this bread by any means necessary. On God.
