They Finally Gon' Tell Us We Need Protein? Bout Time!
Government finally catchin' up, tellin' folks to eat right, but it ain't that simple when the block stay hungry.

Aight, so check it. They finally droppin' some knowledge, sayin' we gotta get our protein up. Word? Like we ain't been knowin' this. But it ain't the same playin' the game when the deck stacked against you, ya feel me?
These new guidelines say we need 1.2 to 1.6 grams of protein per kilo of body weight. Straight up, that's cool, but who got bread for all that? When rent due, and bills pilin', protein ain't always top priority, ya dig?
Some scientist from Stanford, Rachele somethin', sayin' protein build muscles, help us digest, and keep us healthy. No cap. But tell that to the single moms workin' two jobs, or the youngins hustlin' just to eat. Food deserts real, fam. It ain't always easy to get that good stuff.
So, peep the math: pounds divided by 2.2, then times 1.2 or 1.6. If you weigh 150, you need 82 to 109 grams of protein. That sound good on paper, but where the access at?
They talkin' Greek yogurt, nuts, lentils, chicken. That's cool if you eatin' good. But a lot of folks ain't got that option. Gotta hit up the corner store and grab what they can. Processed isles be lookin' good, but ain't always the best for you.
And they sayin' if you work out, you need more protein. Word up, true that. But gym memberships costin' more than some folks make in a week. Gotta find other ways to stay fit, know what I'm sayin'? Street workout, runnin' laps, whatever it takes.
They also sayin' we lose muscle as we get older. Facts. Gotta stay active, lift some weight, keep it movin'. But that takes time and energy, and some days, just surviving is a workout.
So, yeah, it's good they finally talkin' 'bout protein. But they gotta understand it ain't just 'bout knowin' what to eat. It's 'bout havin' the means to get it. Until we level that playin' field, this just gonna be another reminder of the struggle.
