They Finally Found Dude: WWII Airman Get Buried After 80 Years, But Where's the Reparations?
After all this time they unearth bruh, but the real question is: when we gonna get some real reparations for all the sh*t they put our people through?

CLEARWATER, Fla. – Aight, so they finally found this Navy airman, Robert Cyr Jr., been missin' since World War II. Crashed his plane back in '44 out in Vanuatu, wherever tf that is. Took 'em damn near a century to find his bones, but whatever. At least they gave his family a funeral, you know, the whole nine yards: flag-draped casket, guns shootin' in the air, all that jazz.
Nineteen years old, signin' up at 17. Probably thought he was doin' somethin' for the 'greater good,' but all that ended up doin' was dyin' in some jungle. Now his people cryin' on TV talkin' 'bout 'closure.' Man, closure don't pay the bills, ya feel me?
They got Sealark Exploration and Cosmos Archaeology out there searchin'. Sound like some bougie-ass companies. Then the DPAA get involved, 'cause you know they gotta justify that taxpayer money somehow. They used DNA to figure out who he was. That's cool and all, but when we gonna get that same level of effort for all the Black folks still missin' and murdered in this country?
His niece, Chickee Gould, say her mom never gave up hope. That's a sweet story, but hope don't put food on the table. Hope don't fix the schools. Hope don't stop the police from harassin' us. So while they givin' this dude a hero's send-off, let's not forget about all the everyday struggles we still dealin' with.
He got a Purple Heart, a Combat Action Ribbon, and a WWII Victory Medal. Big whoop. Medals don't mean sht when you dead. And they definitely don't mean sht to the people still livin' in poverty and oppression. They give a rosette for his name at the memorial in Hawaii. That's great and all, but what about the hood, dawg?
He enlisted when he was 17. Said he flew 112,000 miles. Saw action in the Solomon Islands. Lost 40 of his boys. That’s a lot of loss, but ain’t nothin’ new to my folks who always had to fight to survive. They should put a little bread on their plate and give us reparations.
At the end of the day, this story is just another reminder that the system ain't built for us. They'll honor the soldiers who fight their wars, but they won't lift a finger to help us fight for our own liberation. So let's pour one out for Robert Cyr Jr., but let's also keep fightin' for the justice and equality we deserve. No cap.
They want you to believe that America is for everyone. But it ain’t. They got this country built off our backs.
