They Blamin' Immigrants for Everything, Again!
Race commissioner callin' out politicians for playin' the blame game, but what's really goin' on?

Aight, so peep this. This Race Discrimination Commissioner dude, Giridharan Sivaraman, he out here callin' out One Nation and them Coalition folks for always tryna blame immigrants for all Australia's problems. He sayin' they usin' that old playbook of findin' a scapegoat to distract from the real issues. Sounds familiar, right?
He was at some human rights ting in Brisbane, and he straight up said these politicians be “dehumanising, scapegoating migrants.” Blamin' them for the housing crisis, traffic, even the price of milk! Like, come on, fam. That's some low-down dirty pool.
Sivaraman ain't holdin' back neither. He sayin' this is straight-up racist, 'cause how else you gonna pick out a migrant? By they skin, they name, they accent? He sayin' it's tap-in' into that deep-rooted racism that been here since colonization, that idea that some folks belong here more than others. And that ain't right.
Then you got this opposition leader, Angus Taylor, comin' out with some new policy talkin' 'bout how “many” migrants be a “net drain” on Australia. He sayin' he gonna “discriminate based on values.” What kinda values is he talkin' 'bout, tho? Sounds like code for somethin' else, know what I'm sayin'? He want to cap immigration based on buildin' houses, ban folks from gettin' jobseeker and all that. Sayin' mass migration outpaced everything. Sounds like a cop out to me, fam.
Sivaraman say he expect this racism to get worse over the next two years. He say the only way to fight it is to build “class solidarity… between black, brown, and white people.” He say gotta convince the white worker that racism hurts them too, that it's one of the reasons they ain't gettin' ahead. Real talk.
Taylor came back sayin' it's the government's fault, not the migrants. He tryna play both sides, sayin' migration is important but the numbers too high. He say housing construction goin' down while migration goin' up, that's why young folks can't get a crib. Sounds like the blame game to me.
See, this ain't just 'bout politics, it's 'bout how they playin' with people's lives. Blamin' folks for problems they didn't create, just to get votes. They divide and conquer, keepin' us fightin' each other instead of fightin' the system.
We gotta see through the BS. We gotta build that solidarity Sivaraman talkin' 'bout. Black, brown, white, we all in this struggle together. Gotta fight for decent housing, decent jobs, and a fair shake for everybody, no matter where they from. Stop lettin' them divide us, ya dig?
At the end of the day, it's the corporations and the politicians in their pockets, that's who's holdin' us back. They pit us against each other so they can keep stackin' that paper. It's time we rise up and demand what's rightfully ours.
So next time you hear them blamin' immigrants, remember who's really pullin' the strings. Stay woke, fam. Stay woke.
