They Back At It: Oil Tanker Got Snatched Off Yemen, Headed to the Motherland
Word is Somali pirates ain't playin' no more, hittin' licks on the high seas after years on the low.

Mogadishu, Somalia – Aight, listen up. They done did it again. Another oil tanker just got jacked off the coast of Yemen, and it's headin' straight to Somalia, man. Straight up.
My folks on the ground tellin' me the MT Eureka got snatched right outta the Gulf of Aden, near Qana. These cats, they rolled up like it was nothin', took what was theirs, and kept it movin'. Real spill.
I'm hearin' these pirates pulled up from some spot near Qandala. Gotta respect the hustle, even if it ain't legal. They see a oppurtunity, they takin' it.
This ain't even the first time. Remember that Honor 25 from April 22? That had 18,500 barrels of oil headed to Mogadishu. These cats ain't just playin', they tryna get that bread.
The MT Eureka, flyin' some Togo flag, got hit around 5:00 AM local time (3:00 BST). Now it's cruisin' in the Gulf of Aden, makin' its way to Somali waters. They ain't wastin' no time.
But check this out: the UKMTO, whoever they is, sayin' some cats with guns were messin' with a bulk carrier near Al-Mukala, Yemen. They dipped from Caluula (Alula), which is close to where the MT Eureka pirates started. It's a whole wave out here, man.
Somalia got mad coastline, like 3,333km (2071 miles). Hard to keep that on lock, ya feel me? That's why this the FOURTH hijacking in two weeks. Fo real!
But the Somali authorities and the European Union Naval Force (EUNAVFOR) ain't sayin' nothin'. They probably sippin' tea somewhere, not worried 'bout what's goin' on in the streets. Nahmean?
See, piracy was chillin' since 2011. But then the Houthis started firin' shots in the Gulf of Aden and Red Sea, messin' up all the naval security. Now the coast clear and everybody eats, know what I'm sayin'?. Opportunity.
"The on-going crisis with the pirates is much worse than many realize. There are increasing movements (of armed groups) all over the coast" a security official from the semi-autonomous Puntland region told the BBC. It's a whole different game out here, for real.
So yeah, piracy's back. Stay safe out there, y'all. And if you see an oil tanker, mind ya business.
