Texas Weather Wildin' Again: Power Out, Folks Dyin' – What's Really Good?
Storm knockin' out power, killin' folks – same ol' story, different day. When we gon' get some real change?
Aight, so this storm hit Texas, right? Two people gone, thousands in the dark up in them counties northwest of Fort Worth. Same old song and dance, man. They talkin' 'bout 'extensive damage' and all that, but what about the people, tho? The ones stuck in the crib wit' no lights, no AC, nothin'? This ain't no joke, fam.
First of all, ain't nobody surprised. Texas power grid been shaky since 'fore I was born. Remember that freeze a couple years back? Same mess. They talkin' 'bout 'infrastructure improvements,' but where that money goin'? Not to the communities that need it most, that's for sure. We still gettin' the short end of the stick. This ain't about some 'natural disaster' – this about systematic neglect, plain and simple.
And don't even get me started on them politicians. They all smiles and handshakes when they need your vote, but when the storm hit, where they at? Probably chillin' in some fancy hotel with a generator and a personal chef. Meanwhile, folks out here strugglin' to find water and keep they kids safe. It's always the same playbook, man.
Real talk, we gotta start holdin' these people accountable. Stop lettin' 'em get away with the bare minimum. We need real investment in our communities, not just empty promises. We need affordable housing, access to clean water, and a power grid that ain't gonna fail every time the wind blows. And we need it now. RIP to them folks that lost they lives. This ain't just a statistic – these were real people with families and loved ones. We gotta make sure they didn't die in vain. Time to wake up and demand some respect, for real.
